The reunion will put the duo back together on national TV for the first time since August 2011, when Matt last worked for the company. At that time, he was in the midst of now-resolved personal and legal problems.
As previously noted on PWInsider, TNA has also reached out to a number of former X-Division stars about working the tapings. The company is trying to load the tapings up since they are in such a major market as well as the home base of Spike, which broadcasts Impact Wrestling.
