RIC FLAIR COMMENTS ON HIS RAW APPEARANCE & MORE: RAW BACKSTAGE PASS REPORT

Welcome to the Raw Backstage Pass report for 4/28/14. I apologize for no Raw Pre-Game Show report but I’m still under the weather and took a nap and by the time I woke up, Raw was already on. We’ll get back to normal next week.

Santino Marella joins this week usual panel of Booker T, Alex Riley and Josh Mathews.

Riley said that no one would have expected Ric Flair to endorse the Shield tonight. They reviewed what Flair said on Raw and said they hoped to get word from Flair here on Backstage Pass. Booker T said The Shield bit the hand that feeds them, HHH, really hard tonight. They showed the closing moments of Raw.

Renee Young interviewed Ric Flair, saying he made quite a statement tonight. Flair said that she shouldn’t read too much into his handshake tonight. He said, “To be the man, you have to beat the man, and right now, the man is Evolution.”

The panel noted that Flair means that for Evolution to become what he believes they can be, they have to defeat Evolution.

They discussed the Daniel Bryan situation, noting that he expected to receive an apology but Stephanie McMahon put Brie Bella in a WWE Divas championship match, setting up Kane’s attempt to kidnap her and the latest beatdown of Daniel Bryan. They then showed the backstage segment where Brie Bella called Stephanie a bitch.

Santino Marella said that if Bryan wrestles this weekend, there is negligence involved. He said that Bryan claims to be medically cleared but he can have his injuries compounded and he would have to deal with that for the rest of his life.

They showed the creepy opening of Raw with all the children controlled by Bray Wyatt singing to John Cena to mock him. Riley said that you can see the audience is following Bray Wyatt, not John Cena. Booker said that as a father, if he was John, he’d want to be like Andre the Giant “and squeeze and squeeze and never stop.”
