HARDCORE ROADTRIP UPDATE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-04-27 09:53:57
As of this morning, no one that I've spoken with has heard from Hardcore Roadtrip promoter Mark Livingston.

There were some talents who were indeed paid, as they had requested and received their money up front. Those who were waiting to be paid at the end of the night were completely out of luck and everyone who needed transportation back across the border left in the cold as well.

I do not believe the scheduled iPPV that was to run via tape delay later today will take place. The word is that one of the wrestlers who were owed money, took a laptop owned by Livingston that was capturing all the audio and video from the show. I was also told that wrestler was on his Facebook page (which I don't have access to, so I am not naming him) asking "how much for this laptop?" while offering to sell it.

Devon of Team 3D was booked for the show but pulled out after he requested his money up front and was told that wasn't going to happen. The promotion actually wrote on their Twitter that "due to financial hardship" he would not be appearing at the event.

Gregory Iron wrote on his Facebook page that he actually really hurt his neck taking a bad bump during the show (which he noted was his own fault) but now may have hurt himself working a show where he wasn't paid because Livingston "faked a heart attack".

As I noted last night, PWInsider.com has reached out to Livingston but thus far, has not received any response.
