EXTREME RISING TITLE CHANGE TONIGHT

Luke Hawx defeated Stevie Richards to win the Extreme Rising title at tonight's ECWA event in Newark, Delaware.

Hawx and Richards had already arrived in Philadelphia when the promotion was informed by the former ECW Arena that the event could not take place.

Referee John Finnegan brokered the deal to bring the pair to ECW for a title bout. Meanwhile, Rising promoter Steve O'Neill was standing outside the Arena all evening greeting fans that were not aware of the last minute cancellation, explaining the situation and giving out free t-shirts, posters and DVDs. Blue Meanie, Matt Tremont and Robbie Illuminati (formerly Mireno) were also on hand to sign and take photos.
