Dixie Carter all but promised new talents debuting at the Genesis themed edition of Impact tomorrow. We know that they've reached out to a number of potential new names, including former ROH champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. There are quite a few that believe the American Wolves will be debuting soon for the company, so we'll see soon enough. I know the company also sent feelers out via intermediaries to a few other ROH-centric talents, including a few that were under contract, so the two sides could never actually have conversations.
Speaking of new potential talents, former Boxing Heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe has been on Twitter trying to push fans to get Dixie Carter to hire him.
The creative direction right now is being set by John "Big" Gaburick.
Lockdown tickets officially go on sale on 1/24.
Brooke Tessmacher noted on Twitter that she isn't scheduled for the European tour. That one really surprises me since she's pretty popular.
After Genesis, TNA has three live events this weekend. Of late, Randy Hales (yes of USWA fame, which I'm sure just popped some old school Memphis fans) and Beau James have been handling a lot of local promoting for the house shows.
TNA will be running 1/17 in Mobile, AL at the Mobile Civic Center, 1/18 in Dothan, AL at the Dothan Civic Center and 1/19 in Albany, GA at the Albany Civic Center. All of the shows are being promoted as the "Road to Lockdown" and will have steel cage matches as a preview of the 3/9 PPV. The trio of shows will feature TNA champion Magnus, Samoa Joe, James Storm, Bobby Roode, Bully Ray, Gunner, Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, Ethan Carter III, Eric Young, X-Division champion Chris Sabin and Austin Aries.
