HELL FREEZES OVER: COMPLETE ICW COVERAGE FROM NYC

By Mike Johnson on 2013-10-18 20:24:38
Welcome to live, ongoing coverage of Impact Championship Wrestling in Queens, NY!

Brian XL vs. Jigsaw

They went back and forth with some nice wrestling and faced off.  The crowd applauded.    They did some mat-based stuff early. Jigsaw worked over XL's leg and tried to turned him over for a submission.  He wasn't able to turn him so he wrapped his legs up in a submission on the mat, twisting them.

They locked up again and Jigsaw turned XL into a Gori Guerrero Especial.    He backed XL in the corner and chopped him hard.  XL made a comeback and scored several two counts.  They battled to the floor, then back to the ring.  XL nailed a superkick for a two count.  He went for a reverse suplex but Jigsaw broke free and superkicked him, then suplexed XL over for a two count.

They went back and forth until XL nailed a sitdown package tombstone for the win!

Fun opener.

Adrenaline Express vs. Da Hit Squad

The Squad controls the match early.  Maff hits a dive to the outside, then holds them for Mack to hit a dive, which was a sight to behold.   They return to the ring, where the Express takes over on Maff with double team maneuvers.

The Express worked over Maff for a long time as Mack tried to rally the crowd.  They set him up for a double suplex but Maff reversed it and up and over they went.  Mack made the tag and worked over both with hard rights.  He nailed and overhead belly to belly on VSK.  Maff locked him in a figure four and Mack went to the top for a splash but slipped and fell into the ring.  He obviously hurt himself.

Maff grabbed VSK and killed him with a brutal Death Valley Driver for the pin.

Your winners, Da Hit Squad!

Mack was holding his shoulder and elbow but finally got up.  He took the ring mic and told the Express they were lucky.  The Express claimed they were the winners.  Mack said next time they are in the ring, they aren't going to get beat but knocked the f*** out.

The Express returned to the ring and were attacked by another team, who were then introduced as the Dirty Ones.  They were managed by a woman named Alexa Rose.

Ricky Reyes vs. Apollyon (With Alexa Rose)

They did some spots early where Reyes tried to test Apollyon's power but was overpowered easily.  Apollyon picked him up for a big suplex, holding Reyes before slammed him down.

Apollyon continued working over Reyes  until he missed a charge in the corner.  Reyes dropkicked him as he was out in the corner.  They went to the floor, where Apollyon cut him off and knocked him to the floor.  Reyes took control back in the ring cinched in a deep armbar.  Apollyon kept working on the arm and chopped away at him, then peppered him with a series of forearms and kicks.

Apollyon cut him off and whipped Reyes into the opposite side, but was kicked.  Reyes kept trying to beat him down but was caught and slammed hard by the larger competitor.  Reyes fought back and caught him with an armbar.  Apollyon cut him off with a spinning kick.   Apollyon nailed a spinebuster but Reyes kicked out.

Reyes fired back with a series of kicks to the legs and finally toppled the big man.  Apollyon grabbed Reyes for a Fireman's Carry but Reyes slipped out and nailed a series of elbows.  Reyes went for a submission but Apollyon fought to his feet.  Reyes nailed a neckbreaker for a two count.

Apollyon rose to his feet.  Reyes fought against him but nothing effected him.  Apollyon avoided a knee strike and nailed a Bubba Slam for the pin.

Your winner, Apollyon!
