FUTURE OF IMPACT, ANOTHER POTENTIAL DEPARTURE AND MORE TNA NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2013-09-16 23:48:59
TNA is considering taking Impact Wrestling back to a singular location, PWInsider.com has confirmed. There are currently discussions about several different locations the company could film out of regularly as they continue to re-evaluate financially. If the company moves forward with that plan, they would probably pull the trigger after the UK tour at the onset of 2014. The most notable location discussed internally? Orlando, Florida, of course. I don't believe the old Asylum is in the running, but it's possible. The word always was that Dixie Carter wasn't a fan of the venue.

Mickie James' contract with the company has expired. The two sides are still in negotiations but did not complete a new deal before James' current deal ended.

There's a lot of talk that TNA will be running a major arena in the New York City metropolitan area soon. Obviously, Madison Square Garden is out, which leaves Barclays Center, Nassau Coliseum of the IZOD Center. If we can confirm the venue, we'll report it here.

TNA has house shows in Texas and Arizona this weekend. On 9/20, they will be running El Paso with TNA champ Bully Ray vs. Samoa Joe, TNA Tag Team champions James Storm & Gunner vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez under Texas Tornado Rules, TNA X-Division champion Manik vs. Christopher Daniels, Austin Aries vs. Bobby Roode, Eric Young vs. Kazarian and Gail Kim vs. ODB announced.

On 9/21, they will use the same crew, except Manik defends against Kazarian, James Storm faces Hernandez in a singles bout and Young faces Daniels.

Bay 9 News in Tampa, FL covered the Team 3D benefit event over the weekend, which Hulk Hogan appeared at. You can check out their coverage by clicking here.
