WWE RAW REPORT: SHIELD VERSUS BIG RED BEARDED VIPER SERIES; TRIPLE H HAS A STRANGE NIGHT IN AND OUT OF THE RING; NEW MATCHES FOR PAYBACK AND CHANGES TO SOME ALREADY ANNOUNCED; A CHAMPION RETURNS; A SECRET ADMIRER REVEALED; AND MORE

Previously . . . Triple H was knocked silly by Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. Then he faced Curtis Axel, but was physically unable to finish. Despite being cleared, Stephanie McMahon shows that she is more important than physicians because Triple H is not worth facing Curtis Axel. What will happen this week because Triple H said that he would be wrestling Curtis Axel tonight. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Hunter . . . Stephanie . . . Vince . . . Aurora Rose?

We are in Richmond, Virginia and your announcers are John ‘The South will rise again’ Layfield, Michael ‘Give Me Back My Son’ Cole, and Jerry ‘There will be payback if the Indians never win again’ Lawler.

Triple H’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Match Number One: Triple H (with GameFountain) versus Curtis Axel (with Paul Heyman)

Hunter with a kick and punches in the corner and the referee has to pull Hunter out of the corner. That does not last long because Hunter kicks Curtis. Hunter with a suplex and he gets a near fall.

Vince McMahon’s music plays and he struts his way to the ring. Hunter with a side head lock. Hunter sends Axel to the floor and Vince gets a mic and he calls for the bell.

Winner: Curtis Axel (by Royal Proclamation Disqualification)

After the match, Hunter demands that the match be restarted.

Match Number One Part Two: Triple H versus Curtis Axel

Hunter with a side head lock and Vince comes back to the ring. Hunter with a shoulder and then he looks at Vince announce a forfeit.

Winner: Curtis Axel (By McForfeit)

Hunter restarts the match one more time as a 60 Minute Iron Man Match.

Match Number One Part Three: Curtis Axel versus Triple H in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match

Vince tells Axel to leave and then Vince leaves with the mic and the ring bell.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Triple H wants to know from Stephanie where Vince is. Hunter says that Vince crossed the line and he embarrassed him. Stephanie says that he knows that her dad was wrong. Stephanie tells Hunter not to hurt him. Stephanie reminds Hunter about Vince playing with their kids.

Match Number Two: Kane versus Dean Ambrose in a Non Title Match

Kane misses a punch and Ambrose with punches of his own. Kane sends Ambrose into the corner and Kane connects with a boot to the head and he gets a near fall. Kane with a drop kick and he gets another near fall. Kane sends Ambrose into the corner and he punches and connects with a knee. Ambrose with shoulders in the corner and he runs Kane’s eyes across the top rope. Kane catches Ambrose on a cross body and connects with a back breaker.

Kane with a knee drop to the back followed by a kick. Kane with an uppercut followed by a hard Irish whip into the corner. Kane with a back breaker and he stretches Ambrose over his knee.

We have a ring bell back and Ambrose with head butts but Kane with a kick. Ambrose with a thrust to the throat but Kane sends Ambrose through the ropes to the floor. Vince McMahon does not come to the ring to stop the match like what happened in the initial match.

Ambrose punches Kane and then he comes off the ring steps and is met with an uppercut.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ambrose sends Kane face first into the mat. Kane with a Dragon Sleeper but Kane escapes and he punches Ambrose. Ambrose with punches and then he hits a drop kick with Kane against the ropes. Ambrose with a near fall. Ambrose stomps on the abdomen and he continues to taunt Kane. Ambrose works on the legs and he rubs his elbow against the ribs.

Ambrose with an elbow and then Kane grabs Ambrose on the turnbuckles but Ambrose with punches. Kane avoids a tornado DDT and he sends Ambrose across the ring. Ambrose with a kick to the knee but Kane with uppercuts. Ambrose with a knee to the midsection and Kane with a tilt-a-whirl power slam for a near fall.

Ambrose tries for a sunset flip but Kane picks up Ambrose and sends him into the corner. Kane with a clothesline into the corner. Kane blocks a boot from Ambrose and sends him to the mat and then he hits a side slam for a near fall. Kane goes up top but Ambrose stops Kane with a thrust to the throat. Kane knocks Ambrose off the turnbuckles and Kane with the clothesline and then he sets for the choke slam. Ambrose goes to the floor and Rollins and Reigns attack Kane.

Winner: Kane (by disqualification)

After the match, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan come out to stop Rollins and Reigns.

We are told that Sheamus versus Damien Sandow will be on the Pre-Show at Payback.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jerry Lawler tells us that Daniel Bryan will be facing The Shield’s Seth Rollins. That means that The Shield’s Roman Reigns will face Randy Orton tonight.

Michael Cole reminds us of the issues between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan from Smackdown and the post match RKO because Randy had boo boo face over an accidental drop kick when Rollins moved.

Daniel tells Orton it was on purpose. Orton admits that it was on purpose. Orton says that he was not going to let Bryan drop kick him.

Kane tells Bryan that this is not a fight they want to get in and Bryan starts to suggest a conspiracy. Kane reminds them that they have matches against The Shield tonight. Orton and Bryan argue until Vickie Guerrero stops by.

Vickie says that they will be facing Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for the tag titles. Vickie says that it is not Kane and Daniel, it is Daniel and Randy Orton.

Orton and Bryan walk away and Kane says that this doesn’t make any sense.

Vickie tells Kane that he will be facing Dean Ambrose for the United States title. Kane tells Vickie that he always liked her and he hugs Vickie.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a Raw Rewind: Fandango interrupting the Barrett/Miz match from last week.

We find out that Fandango suffered an injury and as a result is not medically cleared to wrestle so it will be Wade Barrett versus Miz.

Wade joins the announce table

Match Number Four: Miz versus Cody Rhodes

Miz punches and kicks Cody and follows with a running knee lift and a boot to the head. Miz with the Awesome Clothesline into the corner and then he goes up top but Cody moves and Cody clips the knee and then he works on the knee and stomps on the midsection. Cody with a gourdbuster and he gets a near fall.

Cody with a step over toe hold but Miz with punches to try to get out of the hold. Cody sends Miz into the corner and then Cody kicks Miz in the injured leg and he gets a near fall. Cody returns to the knee and the step over toe hold. Cody tries for an atomic drop onto the knee but Miz rolls through and he applies the figure four leg lock and Cody taps out.

Winner: Miz

After the match, Paul Heyman comes out and he says that even though Fandango cannot wrestle on Sunday, there will be a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Title. Paul says that the third man will be the man who beat Triple H twice in one episode of Raw . . . Curtis Axel.

Curtis gets on the mic and he tells Paul that the perfect ending to the match on Sunday will be him becoming the new Intercontinental Champion.

Michael Cole tells us next week on Raw, the Hall of Pain will be back. We have a Mark Henry video package showing us what he do.

Chris Jericho walks in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the first two matches of the show when Vince McMahon took his mic and his bell and went home. Then we saw the Stamford version of Father and Daughter Overacting Theatre

Stephanie is trying to talk to her father and he will not turn around. She says that she knows that Vince is trying to protect Hunter. Stephanie says that it was embarrassing and Hunter has a lot of pride.

Vince says that he heard what they had to say about him. Vince says that Hunter made his baby girl cry.

Stephanie says that Vince made her cry because Vince crushed his pride.

Vince says that he cares about business first.

Stephanie says that she cares about the company.

Vince says that you do the right thing for business all the time. He tells Stephanie to keep him away. Vince says that he has a show to run.

Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring and he is dressed to fight, but he is going to talk.

Chris welcomes everyone to Raw is Jericho. He says that he knows that he has said this so many times and he has faced some of the greatest on Raw. The man who takes him to the limit more than anyone who makes him a better performer is the man he will be facing at Payback on Sunday . . . CM Punk.

You can say what you want about his attitude or opinions because he is so damn good because he believes that he is the best in the world. It is the same way that Chris says that he feels. That is why they are evenly matched opponents. They think the same way and they came into the business the same way. They accept no more than the best.

On Sunday, Punk/Jericho III continues the classic trilogy of matches that started at Wrestlemania 28, continued at Extreme Rules, and concludes at Payback. On Sunday, CM Punk will get his best because he needs to beat CM Punk at Payback.

No matter what happens on Sunday, neither of them will ever . . . everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr be the same . . .

Dolph Ziggler is back and he is joined by AJ Lee and Big E Langston.

Dolph says that since Chris was talking about the best performers, he figured it was time to come out. He almost had the title taken away from him by concussion. He was not going to sit at home. When it was almost taken from him, it was not fair to him. Dolph says that no one ever wanted him to have the title so he came out every night and he stole the show. He earned the title.

At Payback, he will prove to the world and to Alberto Del Rio that the moment he steps in the ring with him, he will be outclassed. He does it better than anyone in the ring and he is just getting started.

Chris interrupts and he says that Dolph is stepping ahead of himself. Chris says that this is Raw and since Del Rio is his opponent on Sunday, why not have a tune up match to get rid of some of that ring rust.

Ziggler asks Chris if he wants a match and he has a match . . . against Big E Langston.

Match Number Five: Chris Jericho versus Big E Langston (with Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee)

The match is joined in progress and Langston with a forearm to the back on the floor. Langston with a punch to Jericho and we are told that Jericho might have hurt his knee. They return to the ring and Langston with a forearm to the back and he gets a near fall. Langston with a nerve hold. Jericho with an elbow but Langston with a forearm. Jericho sends Langston over the top rope to the floor.

Jericho with a baseball slide that knocks Langston down on the floor. Jericho kicks Langston in the back and punches him. Langston sends Jericho into the ring steps. Langston sends Jericho back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Langston with shoulders in the corner and then he hits a running shoulder into the midsection. Langston with a forearm to the back and then he kicks Jericho in the ribs.

Langston with an Irish whip but Langston misses a shoulder and he goes into the ring post. Jericho gets a near fall with a rollup. Langston with a near fall after a shoulder tackle. Langston returns to the chin lock. Jericho with a kick to Langston followed by chops. Jericho with a running forearm and kick but Langston stays on his feet. Jericho with an enzuigiri to knock Langston to one knee and then Jericho with a drop kick for a near fall.

Jericho with kicks to Langston’s chest followed by a forearm. Langston catches Jericho and he hits three back breakers and then he gets a near fall. Jericho goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Ziggler gets on the apron and he distracts Jericho. Langston with a running body block and then the straps are down.

Alberto Del Rio attacks Ziggler on the floor and that causes Langston to lose focus and he misses a charge into the corner and Jericho hits the Codebreaker for the three count.

Winner: Chris Jericho
