DARREN’S WIN-LOSS RECORDS COLUMN: WEEK 22

Welcome to Week 22 of 2013. This week concludes the month of the May, so following Smackdown will be the May Month in Review, as well as began the month of June. This week, TNA gave us their Pay-Per-View Slammiversary, as well. Now, to this week’s news & notes.

On Raw, we had the 3rd match in 6 days between Alberto Del Rio and Big E. Langston. They wrestled last Monday on Raw and Wednesday on Main Event. Raw saw 2 title matches, as well as re-matches, with Kofi Kingston VS Dean Ambrose and Team Hell No VS The Shield. This brought the Title Match count to 67 overall and 43 for WWE. This was the 3rd match in 6 days between Kingston & Ambrose, who previously wrestled at Extreme Rules and last Friday’s Smackdown, which was also the last time the US Title was defended. This was the 2nd time in a week that Team Hell No & The Shield faced off, as they also wrestled at Extreme Rules on May 19. This was the 1st time since Smackdown on May 17 that there was 2 title matches on one show. Raw saw Fandango VS Wade Barrett with The Miz as Special Guest Referee. The last time that WWE has had a Special Guest Referee was on January 28, when Randy Orton wrestled Antonio Cesaro, which also featured The Miz as Special Guest Referee. Raw saw a 6-Man Tag Team Match between Tons of Funk & The Great Khali and 3MB, in Khali’s 1st match for May. This was the 5th straight week Raw has had a 6-Man Tag Team Match. Raw also saw Kaitlyn & Natalya VS The Bella Twins. This was the 1st time in 2013 that Kaitlyn & Natalya have teamed up. In his match with Sheamus against Team Rhodes Scholars, Randy Orton competed in the 2nd to last match on Raw for the 2nd consecutive week. Also, this was the 2nd week in a row that Curtis Axel wrestled in the Main Event of Raw.
