First, the announcing team for the announced iPPV is off the show, according to Arda Ocal, who was booked to announce the shows with Joel Gertner. Gertner issued a statement on his Facebook page that he would not be appearing at the events, citing a personal obligation. There were rumors the iPPV was off as well, but I am unable to find any confirmation of that. The iPPV page at UStream remains active.
Tod Gordon also pulled out of the shows, citing a back issue as he has been dealing with an ongoing back problem and threw it out several days ago. PWInsider.com can confirm that Gordon's health issues are legitimate.
Axl Rotten also pulled off the show.
There are rumors of other talents also pulling off the show. We have only confirmed that CW Anderson will not be there. In speaking to Anderson on the phone, he stated that he hadn't heard from the promoter, Mark Livingston, in a number of weeks and that concerned him. Anderson informed Livingston, who made contact with him yesterday, that he was not making the trip to Canada.
There have been emails received by PWInsider.com from fans complaining that their attempts to get some sort of comment on the changes via the HRT Facebook page have been met with those comments being deleted. The most recent post on the page reads, "Hardcore Roadtrip Shows in London, ON Canada are still a go! more talent has arrived! and they will be arriving all night long Once all the flights are in we will confirm the lineups for the shows!" The promotion also posted that Al Snow, Bill Alfonso and Angel Medina had arrived in Ontario.
PWInsider has attempted to contact Livingston and will hopefully have an update shortly.
Hardcore Roadtrip is slated to feature a meet & greet, two live events and an after party tomorrow.
