There was also time cut from the WWE title and Tag title matches last night. Production wanted to make sure there would be enough time for the aftermath of the Lesnar-HHH bout as that scene will be important for the storyline going forward. We have more on that in the Elite section.
CM Punk's tights last night were apparently a tribute to Bret Hart. Hart praised them on Twitter and Punk responded, "Just following your lead."
The WWE production truck exploded when Fred Durst flipped the bird on camera. The production digitized it for providers who were carrying the show via a 7 second delay.
Lita was backstage at Summerslam visiting last night. Los Angeles Angels pitcher CJ Wilson, H20 lead singer Toby Morse, New Found Glory's Chad, Tragedy frontman Jake Szufnarowski and actor Eric Stonestreet were also spotted at Summerslam last night.
One WWE talent noted the happiest person all weekend to be at Summerslam was Mike Tyson.
