By Mike Johnson on 2011-11-19 23:55:00
Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of Ring of Honor's Glory by Honor X from Chicago Ridge, IL.

Mike Sydal vs. Andy "Right Leg" Ridge

This is an added pre-show attraction.

They started going back and forth when Kevin Steen entered the building and took a seat in the first row, showing a ticket, as he's still "banned from ROH".  They went back and forth in the ring as Jim Cornette, Cary Silkin and other ROH officials came out.  Steen showed off the ticket but Cornette didn't care.   They went back and forth arguing.  Cornette started yelling at the cameras to stop filming this.

The officials headed to the back unable to throw out Steen since he had a valid ticket.  Sydal began nailing some offense and drilled Ridge with a nice bulldog for a two count.   Ridge came back with several kicks to the chest while Sydal was trapped in the corner and drilled him with an Ace Crusher variation for the pin.

Your winner, Andy Ridge!

After the match, Steen applauded like a fan.  Ridge didn't like it.  A fan tossed a streamer in the ring and Ridge threw it at Steen.  Steen caught it and gave Ridge the finger and threw it back.  Steen was making a spectacle of himself as they left.

With the match over, Cornette and the other officials returned.  The fans chanted "We want Steen".  Cornette responded that if they want him, he wishes he could take Steen.  He insulted Steen and explained that Steen has a crooked lawyer who got Steen a court order that he can be a spectator here.  He told Steen he can make an ass of himself all he wants as long as he stays on the right side of the guard rail.  He said that if Steen does anything, he will screw up the agreement that he can wrestle as Final Battle.  Steen mocked Cornette by started a "ROH" chant.

Mike Bennett vs. Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin (with Truth Martini) vs. Grizzly Redwood

Elgin came out with the Survival of the Fittest 2011 trophy.   Bennett and Cole started off the bout.  Bennett backed him into the corner and slapped him, then backed off.   Bennett backed him into the corner again and backed off, mocking him,.  Bennett shoulderblocked Cole down.  He went for a leapfrog but Cole mocked him and hiptossed him over.  Cole tagged in Elgin and Bennett backed off, leaving the ring.

Redwood entered the ring and tagged Bennett back in.   Bennett escaped and tagged in Cole.  They had a nice sequence until Elgin tagged out to Bennett.  Redwood hit a rana off the top and began drilling him with forearms.  He went for a springboard crossbody but is caught and nailed by a Bennett TKO.   Bennett controlled Redwood and scored several two counts.  Redwood was slammed down but came back to dropkick Bennett in the knees and bulldog him.  Cole came off the top but missed a flying bodypress.

Bennett backdropped him onto the apron.  Cole shoulderblocked him and rolled him up but was kicked out of the ring and into Elgin's arms.  Redwood hit a dive to the outside on them.  He returned to the ring and locked Bennett in a sleeper. Bennett ran backward into the corner to break it.  Redwood nailed a sit-down splash off the ropes for a two count.  Cole tagged in and hit a wheelbarrow suplex.   Elgin hit the ring and cleaned house on everyone, powerbombing Redwood into the corner.  He spinebusted Cole for a two count.

Redwood made a comeback with a mule kick to Elgin and went for a cannonball in the corner.  Elgin caught him and picked up for a powerbomb, throwing him out of the ring onto Bennett.  Elgin and Cole went back and forth.  Cole nailed him with a superkick but Elgin came back to hit a spinning sit-down powerbomb for the pin.

Your winner, Michael Elgin!

Fun back and forth, athletic opener.  Good stuff from bell to bell.

Jimmy Jacobs with Steve Corino vs. Tomasso Ciampa with The Embassy

Jacobs took the mic and said that he's heard Steen is in the building.  He said that he and the building want the same thing, Steen to fight.  He said that unfortunately, his lawyers say that Steen can only be hear as a spectator and Jacobs cannot touch him unless provoked.  He asked Steen for a favor - "provoke me."

They went back and forth.  Ciampa beat down Jacobs with forearms.  Jacobs came back with a cannonball in the corner and hit a dive to the outside.   Steen did something and Corino attacked him.  They started brawling and Jacobs got involved.  They brawled into the crowd and were broken up with Steen dragged out of the building as Corino and Jacobs screamed at him to fight.

No contest.

Prince Nana said this was garbage on the mic and that Ciampa was contractually guaranteed a match.  They demanded anyone that wanted to make a name for themselves to come out.  The Bravados came out.

Harlem Bravado vs. Tomaso Ciampa

Ciampa attacked him and nailed the powerbomb on the knees.  pinfall.

Your winner, Tomaso Ciampa!

Kyle O'Reilly vs. Eddie Edwards

Nice chant for Edwards and streamers tossed from the crowd.  They locked up.   They went back and forth with some really good mat work and counter wrestling.   They blocked strikes from each other and went for dropkicks at the same time, then faced off.   O'Reilly went for a cross armbreaker but Edwards fought his way out and they faced off.

They locked up in a test of strength.  While in it, they exchanged kicks and headbutts.  Eddie monkeyflipped him over and worked him into an STF.  Kyle fought his way to the ropes, forcing a break.   Edwards nailed him several times with stiff chops, snapmared him and kicked Kyle in the back.  Kyle responded in kind.   They went nose to nose and began exchanging forearms and chops.

Kyle caught him with a stiff knee to the chest against the ropes and a killer leg kick to the face.  He began nailing kicks to the chest.  Edwards fired back with chops to the chest.   They went back and forth.  Edwards was caught in an attempted butterfly suplex but stood up and dropped O'Reily down on his head.  O'Reilly rolled out of the ring and was almost counted out.

Edwards went to the outside and brought Kyle back into the ring.  He stomped away at Kyle.   He locked Kyle in a cravate, trying to force a submission.   He whipped Kyle into the buckles, with O'Reily crashing into them chest-first.  Edwards fired him into the corner again and charged but was kicked off and nailed with a float over DDT.

The crowd began a back and forth dueling chant for each competitor.   O'Reilly caught with a butterfly suplex and locked on a cross arm breaker.  Edwards turned it into a Texas Cloverleaf.  O'Reilly turned it into a crossface.   Edwards was able to make it to the ropes and draped his foot over the bottom rope to break the move.  Great stuff.

O'Reilly tried to suplex Edwards in  Edwards tried to reverse it but was kneed to the head.  Kyle went for a big boot but Eddie evaded it and kicked him hard.  Edwards went for a double stomp off the top but missed.   Kyle began drilling him with kicks to the chest as Edwards egged him on.  Edwards fired back with chops.  They went into this insane back and forth  series of strikes and kicks that left the place going nuts.  Edwards superkicked him but Kyle came back with one of his own.

They went back and forth until O'Reilly caught him with a front guillotine choke.  Edwards turned it into a pair of Michinoku Drivers and locked in a submission that was a Dragon Clutch variation, finally forcing the submission.

Your winner, Eddie Edwards!
