JESSE VENTURA LAWSUIT OVER TSA PATDOWNS DISMISSED

By Mike Johnson on 2011-11-04 15:51:37
A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit brought against the federal government by WWE Hall of Famer and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, claiming that the lawsuit had been filed in the wrong jurisdiction.

Ventura's suit claimed that airport scans and pat-downs amounted to unreasonable search and seizure. A United States District Judge in St. Paul, MN dismissed the suit, citing that it should have been filed in a Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Associated Press reported that Ventura was so upset by the ruling that he threatened to file for dual citizenship and move to Mexico, where he maintains a home.

Ventura filed the suit after his hip replacement set off an airport alarm in November 2010, leading to the former Governor being given a pat-down. Ventura has claimed that he hasn't flown since and that the move is illegal under the United States Constitution.

Ventura stated that he wasn't sure if he would continue to pursue the lawsuit. He is currently filming the third season of Conspiracy Theory for TruTV.
