If you haven't had the chance to check out last night's ROH Internet PPV, I highly advise ordering the replay, which is available via Video on Demand at the link above. Eddie Edwards vs. Davey Richards may have been one of the most brutal, perfectly wrestled matches I've ever seen. It was almost akin to a great boxing or MMA fight in that it was this utterly physical war of attrition. There was some great wrestling and an awesome angle featuring the long-awaited return of Kevin Steen. When wrestling is done right, there is nothing that can match it. The main event and post-match speech was as good as it gets. For $15, you won't regret the order.

Christopher Daniels officially finished up with the company last night.

Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards were both OK after their war last night, although obviously they were banged up. Richards noted that he didn't even remember the match and was amazed they were out there for 36 minutes. Edwards may have been knocked out in the finish but I don't know that for sure, although there was concern about that as ROH officials called for the doctor to check him out. Edwards was woozy after but was OK.

Homicide suffered a cracked rib during the match with Rhino. As we discussed in our Elite audio interview yesterday before the show, last night may be the last time he is seen in ROH for some time as he's signed with the Urban Wrestling Federation and those contracts stipulate talents cannot appear on nationally broadcast TV and PPVs, while ROH is seeking to lock their roster up contractually.

ROH COO Joe Koff and VP of Live Events Gary Juster were both in attendance at the event last night.

Kevin Steen has lost a lot of weight since he was last seen. His return angle was absolutely off the charts awesome.

A number of talents have been offered deals of varying length in recent weeks, while others have been talked with about signing without an official offer made. ROH is still getting its feet under itself as part of Sinclair Broadcasting, so it's a lot of babysteps at this point.

I don't know whether he has signed, but Rhino is expected back as part of The Embassy.

The company shattered their Internet PPV buyrate and turned away about 100 fans from the Hammerstein Ballroom last night.

The day before the PPV, a number of talents were in Baltimore, MD filming material that will be used for the eventual TV debut on 9/24. They weren't filming angles or promos but green screen material that can be used for inserts and bumpers.

Visiting backstage were independent stars Daemon Slugga, Roxxi Cotton and Marti Belle.

ROH returns to Richmond, VA on 7/8 and Charlotte, NC on 7/9. The promotion is then off until 8/13 when they tape the first episodes for their new TV series.

For those who have asked about this, ROH will not be returning to Los Angeles as part of WrestleReunion in January as the feeling is that the company would be better suited to promoting towns they have television in as opposed to a singular show on the West Coast. The promotion will still run their traditional Wrestlemania weekend events next year in the Miami area.

Finally, best wishes to our old friend Irwin Markowitz who was shooting ringside photos at the iPPV last night taking a bump when Generico and Daniels were doing a crazy spot outside the ring. Irwin ended up bumping the back of his head and his camera lens was shattered, so we won't have photos of the last two matches, but he was thankfully OK.
