DREAM SURVIVOR SERIES TEAMS, WWE'S NEW USA DEAL LEADING TO SOMETHING BIGGER?, ROB VAN DAM VS. DAVEY RICHARDS AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2009-11-16 21:00:44

The Los Angeles Times has a blog up about WWE's new deal with USA Network, speculating that this might be the first step towards WWE doing more with NBC Universal, like providing more programming for the Universal HD channel, or WWE having their own network.  Click here to check it out.

World Stars Of Wrestling sent out the following. ... Rob Van Dam successfully defended the World Stars Of Wrestling (WSW) World Championship, yesterday at the Doncaster Dome, in Doncaster, England.  He defeated ROH's Davey Richards in the main event for the One Pro Wrestling's 4th anniversary show. Over 1500 fans jam packed the Dome as it was RVD's first appearance in the UK to wrestle in the years. Footage of the match and highlights of the day will soon be available at the official WSW website at worldstarsofwrestling.com, as well as robvandam.com.

Martyn Licchelli attended the show, and while he noted that RVD vs. Richards was a good match, he said the crowd was in the 800 range.

Thanks to Steven Fernandes for the following items:

WWE.com has an article where they asked Ted Dibiase, Evan Bourne, Zac Ryder, JTG and Natalya who they would want to team with in their dream Survivor Series Teams. DiBiase chose Ted DiBiase Sr, Steve Austin, Eddie Guerrero, Terry Funk for his team. Bourne chose RVD, Sabu, Austin and Tazz. Ryder chose Sunny, Trish, Sable and Stacy Keibler as his "dream team". JTG chose Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Bret Hart, and Undertaker. Natalya chose Trish, Sherri, Beth Phoenix and Manami Toyota, which I think is the only time her name is going to be mentioned on any WWE platform.

As of right now, John Cena is not scheduled to appear at any of the January RAW live events. While Undertaker and Batista are booked for Smackdown live events from Jan 8-Jan 17. While CM Punk is not scheduled for any live events during the same time (excluding the weekend of Jan 15-17).

TNAwrestling.com have a survey to help make the product better where they ask people to select who they tune in to TNA to watch and yes, Hulk Hogan is an option. So is Jeff Jarrett.

Bobby Fish, TJ Perkins and Richochet have joined Davey Richards in the new EVOLVE promotion.
