BOUND FOR GLORY COVERAGE: SOME NEW CHAMPIONS; STING'S FAREWELL ADDRESS?; THE TORCH IS PASSED

Jeremy Borash is with Mick Foley in the back as he asks him about the Monster’s Ball match. Jeremy talks about how Mick has changed since the attack. Mick asks if laughs and good times are what his reputation was built on. There will be laughs, but it won’t happen tonight. You don’t put on the flannel shirt and hold a barbed wire bat and call yourself Mick Foley. Mick says that he did this for himself, not for Abyss. Jeremy asks Mick if he is afraid that Abyss will overshadow his career. Mick says that bodies, like records are meant to be broken. Mick says that Abyss will have to earn it the hard way.

Match Number Seven: Monster’s Ball Match: Abyss versus Mick Foley with Guest Referee Dr. Stevie

Foley attacks Abyss from behind with the barbed wire baseball bat. Foley punches Abyss and they go up the ramp to the stage. Foley punches Abyss and hits a swinging neck breaker. Foley climbs the scaffolding and Abyss climbs as well. Foley punches Abyss and Abyss falls through the stage. Foley climbs down the scaffolding and Stevie gives Foley his bat. Foley with an elbow drop using the bat onto Abyss. Stevie tries to tell Foley that Abyss is done and Foley holds the bat up for the fans to react.

Abyss climbs through the ramp and Foley runs at Abyss but Abyss with a clothesline. Abyss grabs a trash can and then he punches Abyss in the head. Abyss sends Foley into the ring. Abyss grabs the guardrail and he puts a barbed wire board on the rail and the apron. Abyss hits Foley with the trash can three times and Foley goes down. Abyss gets another barbed wire board and he puts it in the ring. Abyss sets for a choke slam but Foley stops him and Foley with a double underhook DDT onto the barbed wire board. Stevie gets on top of Abyss and slaps him. Foley puts the barbed wire bat in Abyss’ forehead. Foley has the bat and he hits Abyss in the arm with it. Foley takes another barbed wire board and he sets it up in the corner. Foley punches Abyss but Abyss Irish whips Foley into the barbed wire board. Abyss tries for the splash into the corner but Foley moves and then Stevie and Foley sandwich Abyss in the boards. Foley with an elbow drop onto the boards and he can only get a two count.

Foley punches Abyss and then Foley is handed a bag and there are thumbtacks in the bag, and now on the mat. Abyss wants to choke slam Foley on the thumbtacks and Abyss is reminded of the stipulation. Abyss hits Shock Treatment on Stevie. Foley has a taser in his hand and he waits for Abyss. Foley uses the taser on Abyss and Foley gets an apparent three count but he says Abyss might have kicked out. Foley has Mr. Sock and he wraps it in barbed wire. Abyss with a drop toe hold onto the barbed wire board, but Stevie pulls the referee out of the ring. Daffney goes up top and Abyss grabs Daffney by the throat and she gets choke slammed onto the barbed wire board. Stevie punches Abyss and then Abyss with a black hole slam on the tacks. Abyss with a choke slam onto the barbed wire board. Abyss makes the count with Stevie’s arm for the three count.

Winner: Abyss

Jeremy Borash is with Kurt Angle and Jeremy says that things are not going the Main Event Mafia’s way. He points out that Kurt seems confident. Kurt says that he never underestimates anyone. He reminds us that he had A.J. Styles beat three days ago, and the next time, he will beat A.J. First, he has to get through Matt Morgan. Kurt says that he thought Morgan could have been useful, but he realized that Matt is a disrespectful punk. He is going to teach Matt the word respect.

Match Number Eight: Kurt Angle versus Matt Morgan

Before they lock up Angle goes to the floor to get into Morgan’s head. Angle returns to the ring and he goes back to the floor again. Angle returns to the ring and they finally lock up but Morgan throws Angle to the mat. Angle goes into the ropes again. They lock up again and Morgan sends Angle over the top rope to the floor. Angle gets back into the ring and he kicks Morgan and connects with a European uppercut. Morgan with a punch to Angle and then it is time to throw some elbow pads at the referee before hitting the elbows. Morgan tosses Angle into the turnbuckles and then Morgan with a splash and he goes over the top rope to the floor. Angle rakes the eyes as Morgan returns to the ring and Angle knocks Morgan off the apron. Angle goes to the floor and he tries for a cross body but Morgan catches Angle and runs Angle into the ring post.

Morgan goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Morgan with an Irish whip but he misses a boot in the corner and Angle clips Morgan to get things set for the ankle lock. Angle punches Morgan. Angle with an elbow to the leg and a step over toe hold. Angle drops another elbow on the knee and then Angle with a figure four leg lock. Morgan tries to roll over to reverse the hold. Morgan is finally able to reverse the hold and Angle gets to the ropes. Angle punches Morgan in the head but Morgan with a clothesline to Angle and both men are down. Morgan with another series of clotheslines and a splash into the corner. Morgan with a side slam for a near fall.

Angle with a cross body but Morgan catches him and hits the fallaway slam and then he signals for a choke slam. Angle rolls through for a two count. Morgan hits a choke slam for a two count. Morgan sets for the Hellevator but Angle hits the Three Rivers German suplex combination. Morgan avoids the Olympic slam and he hits a bicycle kick for a two count. Morgan misses a splash into the corner and Angle with an Olympic Slam for a two count.

The straps are down and Angle puts Morgan in the ankle lock. Morgan is able to get out of the hold. Morgan with a kick and he tries for a power bomb, but Angle rolls through into the ankle lock. Morgan tries to escape the hold but Angle holds on. Morgan finally kicks Angle away. Angle misses a charge into the corner and he hits the ring post. Morgan hits the Hellevator but he can only get a two count as Angle gets his shoulder up. Morgan gets Angle up for a tombstone but he takes too long and Angle applies the ankle lock. Morgan rolls through but Angle holds on to the ankle. Morgan kicks Angle off. Morgan with a discus clothesline for a two count. Morgan goes up top again and Angle hits the run the turnbuckles belly-to-belly suplex. Angle with an Olympic Slam and then he goes up top and hits a frog splash for a two count. Angle goes up top again for a moonsault but Morgan stops Angle but Angle with a victory roll for the three count.

Winner: Kurt Angle

After the match, Angle offers his hand to Matt Morgan and Matt shakes it. Angle raises Morgan’s hand and Angle leaves the ring.

Match Number Nine: TNA World Heavyweight Title Match: A.J. Styles versus Sting

They shake hands before locking up and Styles with a side head lock and Sting with a side head lock of his own. Styles with a hip toss and a side head lock. Sting with a hip toss of his own. Sting with a side head lock. Sting tries to hip toss A.J. over the top rope but A.J. lands on the apron and he returns to the ring. Sting with a side head lock. Sting with a shoulder tackle and he tries for the Scorpion Death Lock but Styles powers out of it. Sting misses an elbow drop. Styles with a snap mare and kick to the back. Styles with a slam and a phenomenal knee drop for a near fall. Styles with an elbow to the back of the head. Sting with an Irish whip and Styles hits the turnbuckles awkwardly. Sting with a hard Irish whip as he tries to wear down A.J.’s back. Sting clotheslines Styles over the top rope to the floor.

Sting holds the ropes open for Styles to return to the ring. They lock up and Styles with an enzuigiri. Styles with a suplex for a near fall. Styles with a hard Irish whip and a kick to the back. Sting with a kick and face plant to Styles. Sting with a back body drop. Styles with punches to Sting but Sting with a punch. Styles with the phenomenal drop kick and Sting goes to the floor. Styles goes to the apron and Sting moves out of the way. Styles tries for a splash onto Sting but Sting moves and Styles goes into the guardrails. Sting tries for a Stinger splash into the guardrail and Styles moves out of the way.

The referee starts his count and Styles tells him to stop the count. Sting returns to the ring and Styles with a waist lock but Sting with an elbow. Sting with punches but Styles with punches of his own. Styles tries for the forearm into the corner but Sting moves. Sting and Styles bump heads. Styles charges into a boot from Sting. Styles sets for a tombstone but Sting reverses and hits a tombstone of his own for a two count. Styles goes to the apron and he punches Sting. Styles with a phenomenal forearm for a two count. Styles with a back breaker for a near fall. Styles with an elbow to the back of the head. Styles with an elbow and then he tries for the moonsault into the inverted DDT but Sting and Styles each counter and Sting with the Scorpion Death Drop followed by a Stinger Splash and another Scorpion Death Drop for a near fall. Sting sets for the Scorpion Death Lock and he has it locked it. Styles powers out of the hold. Styles with punches and chops to Sting. Styles and Sting with punches and Sting hulks up. Sting with a clothesline and a two count. Sting puts Styles on the turnbuckles and Styles with a head butt but Styles falls to the apron. Styles with a Pele on the apron and Styles with a springboard splash for the three count.

Winner: A.J. Styles

After the match, Sting was going to leave the ring but he returns and shakes A.J.’s hand before leaving the ring for A.J. to celebrate. A.J. asks for a mic and he tells Sting to come back into the ring. He reminds Sting that he has entertained these fans for 23 years and this is his home state. He tells Sting that the ring is his spotlight. A.J. tells Sting that this is his time now.

Sting returns to the ring and A.J. goes to the back. Sting thanks the fans and he says that he did not expect to be in the ring because this moment is not about him, it is about the world champion. Sting says that if he is going to lose, he is glad that he lost to A.J. Styles. If he can lose, he is glad to lose at home. Sting says that since he has this platform, he should cover what people have been asking him for the last few months. Sting says that he will not pull a Brett Favre and he did not plan to make an announcement. Sting says that he does not know if he will come back, but what he heard yesterday and the way the fans reacted tonight, he wants to stay forever.
