PAUL HEYMAN NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2009-07-23 15:46:46

Whether he's working in the wrestling business or not, Paul Heyman is still pulling strings.  It's hard to deny that as in the last few weeks:

*Ken Kennedy's ongoing series of videos online, designed to put him in the public's eye while he waits his WWE 90 days no compete out, has moved to the new Heyman Hustle website, complete with background information as to why Ken Anderson has been doing them.  With Heyman being one of Anderson's first real supporters in WWE creative, it's easy to see why Anderson is again partnering with Heyman, himself the king of getting the spin out online, in an effort to maximize himself.

*With this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, Heyman's site announced that Hollywood Producer and comic book writer Jeff Katz is doing a "blog" from the convention.  Based on Heyman's history, my guess is this isn't some random blog being given to his site as a polite nod, but rather an indication of Heyman and Katz (who worked for the WCW Hotline as a teenager) possibly working on something together down the line.

In recent months, beyond Heyman moving the Heyman Hustle to Crave Online, he's also been involved in pitching an animated project called "Headlock Hotel."

Katz's new company American Original is hosting a panel this Saturday, with several TNA stars appearing, which should make his blog even more interesting for wrestling fans to follow.
