RING OF HONOR SPOILERS FOR TONIGHT

By Stuart Carapola on 2009-07-25 08:05:00
Grizzly Redwood & Necro Butcher defeated Jimmy Rave & Ernie Osiris

Rave, of course, got the toilet paper treatment as he made his entrance.  Grizzly and Rave start, with Redwood taking Rave to the corner, but Rave getting a cheapshot on the break.  Rave takes him to the corner and tags in Osiris, but Grizzly gets a couple of chops to the leg and tags out to Necro.  Osiris bails to the floor, but Necro goes after him and works him over before tossing him into the guardrail.  Necro goes after Rave and Nana, but Rave bails into the crowd.  Osiris tries to nail Necro with a chair, but Necro gets ahold of it and give Osiris a hard chair slam on the floor.  Back in the ring, Necro tags out to Grizzly, who comes off the second rope with a double axhandle.  Necro back in and he does the second rope axhandle.  Necro and Grizzly maintain control until Osiris pulls down the ropes on a charge and Grizzly goes to the floor.  Rave tags in and tosses Grizzly back in the ring and starts stomping away.  Rave spits at Necro yet again and tags out to Osiris, who gets a neckbreaker for 2.  Rave back in as he kicks and punches Grizzly some more, then gets a knee to the midsection for 2.  Rave with a snap suplex and a tag out to Osiris, who does the stinkiest Bronco Buster ever.  Heels keep tagging in and out and pounding away on Grizzly until Grizzly makes a hot tag to Necro...and Rave runs away.  Instead, Necro decides to take out his frustrations on Osiris, chokeslamming him and hitting a Tiger Driver for 2.  Rave sneaks in from behind, but gets knocked out cold by Necro.  Osiris with a couple of rollups for 2, but Necro punches him out as Nana helps Rave to the back, andthen Necro tags in Grizzly, who hits a 619 (or whatever the area code in the Yukon is) and a tornado DDT for the win.

-SHIMMER Champion MsChif and Sara Del Rey defeated Neveah and Daizee Haze

Right away, these pairings make no sense since MsChif beat Del Rey for the SHIMMER Title.  Neveah and MsChif start, and Neveah takes her down and gets a bridging hammerlock.  Neveah with an armdrag and a tag out to Haze, and they get a double hiptoss on MsChif for 2.  MsChif and Haze trade hammerlocks and armdrags until Haze tags back out to Neveah, who comes in with the Mr Perfect necksnap and a low crossbody for 2.  Del Rey nails Neveah from the outside and MsChif gets a standing moonsault for 2.  Tag out to Del Rey, who starts stomping away at Neveah and gets a fallaway slam for 2.  Tag back out to MsChif, who back Neveah up to the ropes and screams at her.  Okay.  Del Rey back in, but Neveah ducks a clothesline and gets a dropkick to the midsection.  Del Rey cuts off Neveah from making a tag and goes for a fireman's carry, but Neveah gets away and tags in Haze, who comes in with a top rope dropkick and a flying headscissors for 2.    Haze goes for a monkey flips but Del Rey catches her and tosses her across the ring.  Tag to Neveah who comes in and gets killed with the Butterfly Powerslam for 3.

-The next segment saw Kingston and Hero brawling from the back and into the ring.  The Prelim Patrol came out to break up the fray, but couldn't keep them apart.  Finally, Hero broke away and headed for the back.  Kingston took out his frustrations by knocking out Sal Rinauro.

-Tyler Black defeated Bryan Danielson

Crowd is very solidly behind Danielson to start.  Danielson outwrestles Tyler and smacks him in the face to start.  Greco Roman knuckle lock and they go to the corner where Danielson ducks a wild swing and slaps him again.  Danielson takes him down with a single leg and cranks on the ankle, then converts to a side headlock.  Black backs him to the corner and blocks another slap attempt and takes Danielson down with an armdrag into an armbar.  Danielson reverses into a wristlock and bends Tyler's arm in a very unnatural position, but Black makes the ropes.  Tyler reverses a whip and gets a dropkick for 2, then takes Danielson to the corner and kicks away.  Danielson escapes that and gets a couple chops, but Black takes him down with a double leg and danielson reverses that to a Crippler Crossface.  Danielson is such a master.  Black makes the ropes and Danielson backs off and pops the crowd with his "Best In The World" catchphrase.  Another tieup and Danielson goes to a hammerlock, Black reverses, and takes Danielson down with another armdrag into the armbar.  Black with a snapmare and goes for a slap, but Danielson catches the arm and gets a cross armbreaker, but Black chickens out and goes for the ropes again.  Danielson puts the badmouth on him as the crowd again pops bigtime for Dragon.  They exchange shoves, and then Danielson gets a  forearm, but gets caught in a slam coming off the ropes and Black with the quebrada for 2.  Black kicks away in the corner but Danielson turns it around, slaps him some more, throws some stiff kicks, and lays Black out with a European Uppercut.  Danielson cranks away on the head with a three quarter nelson and drops Black with a headbutt.  Danielson kicks away but this only fires up Black, who gets to his feet and starts pounding away, but Danielson catches him in a sleeper, then converts that into a neck vice.  Danielson into the Stretch Plum as the crowd chants for Tyler to tap.  No doubt who the fans are behind here.  Black makes the ropes, but Danielson drops a series of knees to the head for 2.  Black fights his way out, but Danielson reverses a vertical suplex into another sleeper, and Black reverses that to a sleeper of his own to some big boos from the crowd.  Danielson reverses that to another sleeper, Black tries to suplex his way out of it, but Danielson holds onto the head.  Black with a jawbreaker, but Danielson goes right back to the sleeper yet again.  Randy Orton ought to watch the tape of this and see how to make a resthold not look like a resthold.  Black picks Danielson up and dumps him over the top, but eats a forearm when he goes for the dive.  Danielson comes off the top but runs right into a dropkick from Tyler, who follows up with a series of clotheslines.  Danielson eats boot on a charge and Black with a flying clothesline to send Danielson to the corner.  Black with an enziguiri and a springboard clothesline for 2.  Black pounds away in the corner and gets a cross corner whip, then follows that up with a running forearm and an F5.  Black goes for the superkick, but Danielson catches the leg and grabs an ankle lock.  Black rolls out of it and sends Danielson to the floor, where Black is finally able to hit the dive.  Back in the ring, Black goes for another springboard clothesline, but Danielson reverses that to a German Suplex into a sunset flip for a VERY close 2.  The crowd didn't like that one.  Danielson puts Tyler up top for the top rope belly to back suplex, but Black knocks him off.  Danielson with a running knee and a top rope Frankensteiner, Black rolls through into a sunset flip, but Danielson rolls that through into a triangle choke.  Amazing.  Black picks him up and gets the corner powerbomb and superkick, but is too tired to follow up.  Finally he drags Danielson into the middle of the ring, but Danielson has had time to recover and Black only gets 2.  Black goes up top for the Phoenix Splash, but Danielson shoves him into the crowd right on top of some poor fan, then follows that up with a dive himself.  The fan seems okay, if anyone cares.  Danielson gets in first and then Black just beats the count.  Danielson starts kicking away but Black comes to his feet and gets the schoolboy rollup into the kick, but Danielson catches him with another sleeper out of nowhere and rolls Black through that into a Crippler Crossface, but Black makes the ropes AGAIN.  Danielson's done screwing around and starts pounding away with the elbows, but Black escapes and gets another enziguiri, but Danielson with the running knee.  They exchange waistlocks, Black gets the German Suplex, Danielson no sells and runs into a pair of superkicks, and then Black gets the God's Last Gift to FINALLY beat Danielson in a singles match.  There's some fans chanting Match Of The Year, but I think they have some DVDs they need to watch before making that assessment.  Still, awesome awesome awesome match.  Danielson extended his hand after the match and the two shook hands.
