WWE features female wrestling matches on both their Raw and Smackdown programs. Since the premier of WWE Superstars, they have featured two ladies matches. On ECW however they haven't showed any womens matches for quite a while. According to the ECW website they show both Katie Lea and Nattie Neidhart. Unfortunately they are featured as seconds to their husband/boyfriend and not as professional women wrestlers. Why is this? Why no womens matches of late? Any chance of Neidhart and Lea taking part in any mixed tag matches in the near future?
Well, there really is no point to female matches on ECW, since there is no female championship to wrestle over. However, WWE is doing a Katie Lea vs. Bella (don't ask me which) soon, so you will at least see a women's match on the show.
To your knowledge has Shane McMahon ever expressed his opinion on how his sister Stephanie has been doing as head of the creative team? If he had something on his mind is he a person who will let you know how he feels?
You're not going to see the McMahons publicly criticizing each other. They're not the Hogans!
CM Punk, in my opinion, should be one of the wrestlers the WWE should be really pushing towards kids. He's a good role model because he doesn't drink, smoke, or do any drugs. Why does the WWE keep trying to find ways to make him the most hated man in the company? I mean cashing in on Hardy turned a lot of fans away from him, and the finish at the Bash didn't do anything good for him at all. Your thoughts.
WWE is simply giving Punk the chance to work as a heel, something he excelled at during his time in Ring Of Honor and on the indy circuit, but has never been given the chance to do in WWE until now.
This is gonna sound crass and disrespectful but I assure you it is not intended that way. Do you think that the fact that Benoit used a "wrestling move" to kill his son was any more offensive to a wrestler/the wrestling community than if he had done it in another way? Did the wrestling connection make it any worse or am I the only one that is thinking this deep into it?
I don't know if it made anyone look at the horrible incident as being "more offensive", but reports that it looked to be a "wrestling move" certainly made it a bit more creepy. Regardless, the fact that Benoit murdered a child, his own son, is sick enough no matter how it was done.
What happened to Shelton Benjamin? If I'm not mistaken, PWI reported around Mania 25 time that booking was heavily considering having him win Money in the Bank and, in turn, winning the World Title - that he was ready to finally make the leap. Now? He's been sent down to ECW and jobbed his first night. How does he go from on the verge of a possible World Title run to jobbing on ECW?
I don't know which PWI you are talking about, but I don't recall PWInsider.com ever saying Benjamin was going to win the World Title. I know we did report that WWE was considering Benjamin as a "participant" in Money In The Bank, since he had excelled in the match in the past, but that was it.
