PWINSIDER Q&A: DISAPPEARING TNA KNOCKOUTS, WWE AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, WWE'S CLAIM TO THE VICTORIA RING NAME AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2009-07-05 10:00:00

What's the latest on TNA Knockout's Moose (Mickie Knuckles) and Tracy Brooks?

TNA opted not to bring Knuckles back (at least at this point), partially due to ongoing issues with her leg.  Brooks remains under TNA contract, although she hasn't had a TV role regularly in some time.

I just finished your response to the question about WWE not wanting to do Tough Enough again but what if they kept the format but tweaked it a bit.  I would take some of the developmental talent they already have signed and think may be close to being called up and use it as a way to get them exposure and let the fans see many faces they will possibly see in the future.  Then you can even work in the fan participation/voting as well to help identify who the fans like and may support if they make it.

It's an interesting idea but given that WWE had a number of influential people that felt it exposed and hurt the business, I don't see the concept returning from the grave, which is a shame.

Does WWE only own the name Victoria when it comes to their former Diva? If TNA were to hire a female wrestler with the real name Victoria, could they use her under that name?

WWE trademarked the name in regard to that performer.  If someone with the given name of Victoria wanted to wrestle under her real name, WWE couldn't prevent it.  They could legally prevent Lisa Marie Varon, since they named her.

When Randy Orton won the title in the 4-way match on Raw, Michael Cole claimed he was a "5 time WWE champion." So, when did the World title and the WWE title become the same championship? Does that mean we can add CM Punk's name to the list of WWE champions?

It's just something they do to simplify it to the fans during exposition.  The WWE and World titles are considered the same level of importance for WWE's storytelling.

Here's an idea. What if Trump sells Raw back to Vince three to six months after the Monday night wrestling show gets "fixed" by Trump. Hopefully Raw Creative will update the program for this decade.

How about 7 days later?
