I had tickets to the WWE Smackdown event that was supposed to take place in Valparasio Indiana, which got cancelled on Thursday, due to the WWE wanting everyone in Green Bay for the commercial free Raw. I was fine with it until I watched Raw. Seeing that only 9 people from Smackdown (not including JR and Todd, who wouldn't have been in Valpo any way) got used on Raw kind of pissed me off (I mean that 6 man tag was nothing more than filler, and those 2 divas I wouldn't have missed). Considering the Denver fiasco last month, shouldn't the WWE know to book their events better than this? On a side note, I will be going to the Raw event that is replacing it, but going from a Smackdown event to a Raw event is kind of a big let down.
WWE should have been known better, but the sad reality is that the company's creative side is completely overworked and going week to week, so unfortunately, things like that become regular side effects of the process. I am pretty sure that if you wanted a full refund, you could get it at your original point of purchase.
What was the point of having Trump come in for 2 weeks then ending him ? I thought having him in there for at least a month doing things that the fans like and annoying Vince would have been good. Unless they plan on doing something with the storyline, I think 2 weeks was not enough, especially the way it ended. Your thoughts.
I agree with you completely. Obviously, something happened to change plans. We'll probably know more in the days to come.
In regards to the Mysterio vs. Jericho Mask vs. Title, as a former WCW diehard I have to ask what's the big deal? I already saw Mysterio unmasked in WCW. Seeing him unmasked in WWE does nothing for me. Would it be fair to say that for a Mexican wrestler, losing your mask is like losing your virginity? By that I mean once you lose it the first time, it's not really a big deal if you lose it again. How you like that analogy?
WWE is playing on the idea that the current generation of fans, particularly the kids audience they are really trying for right now, wouldn't be aware of Mysterio being unmasked. For older fans and Internet savy fans, they know but WWE is going for a broader audience overall. Your analogy cracked me up.
What's the latest on WWE Diva Candice Michelle? When is she expected to return to the ring?
Michelle was released from WWE on Friday, just a few days after she was medically cleared to return. My guess is she'll focus on non-wrestling projects going forward.
With the recent release of the Macho Man Randy Savage DVD by WWE what would happen if Savage were to make a surprise appearance on TNA's Impact! teaming with his admirer Jay Lethal? What kind of repercussions would happen if such an act were to take place?
There wouldn't be any repercussions beyond a lot of fans excited to see Savage since he has been out of the spotlight for so long. I don't expect we'll see Savage in any capacity in a wrestling setting until/unless he goes into the WWE Hall of Fame. I also believe we've seen his last wrestling match.
