PWINSIDER Q&A: CANDICE MICHELLE IN TNA, PWINSIDER COVERAGE OF PPV EVENTS, PAUL LONDON AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2009-07-07 10:00:00

First I want to say that I have been following you guys since before PWInsider.  My question is:   When you report the results of PPV's do you report from backstage or in the arena or while watching on PPV at home?  Do any of you have back stage access as press or anything like that?

We usually do reports from our homes since the PPV broadcast is what 99% of the audience is seeing.  In the past, we've attended PPVs.  I was backstage at a TNA PPV a few months back and have been backstage at a number of ROH PPVs.  Buck Woodward would cover WCW PPVs live from backstage at times as well.  ROH and TNA have always been very kind to us in regard to access.  WWE maintains a closed door policy with this website, at least on a public level.

Now that Candice Michelle has been released from WWE do you see her eventually signing with TNA? Is she currently under a 90 day no compete clause?

Candice Michelle is indeed under a 90 day no compete.  I have yet to hear of TNA interest in her but if she's interested in remaining in the business and can remain healthy, I can see TNA being interested.

What is the latest on former WWE wrestler Paul London?

As I wrote a few weeks back, London is focusing on an acting career.  He's earned his Screen Actors Guild card and has some some commercial work, including a Pizza Hut commercial.  He's working a few independent dates here and there but for the most part, is distancing himself from wrestling.

I'm bored and just thinking of something new to ask you guys since you've heard it all before.  This deals with people who buy the cheap seats and are moved somewhere else because of lack of ticket sales.  Let's suppose somebody is taken to a wrestling match and he's never been to one before (or maybe just a fan who has been there before) and due to lack of ticket sales he's moved closer to the ring and near where the explosions are set off for entrances.   What if the guy being moved from the cheap seats has a heart condition and has a heart attack due to the sudden surprise of explosions?  Would the company or arena be held in account for his medical bills and would he have a right to sue because he wasn't supposed to sit there in the first place?

I don't know and I'd like to hope that we never have to see or hear of a test case for this scenario.

I haven't seen TNA's Rhyno on TV lately. What's the latest on Rhyno? On TNA's roster Rhyno's name is spelled Rhino. Although that is the correct spelling for the animal it's incorrect for Rhyno the wrestler. Please inform TNA of the error.

That's actually the correct spelling of Rhino.  WWE changed the spelling so they could trademark it during his run there.  Rhino is still on the TNA roster.
