Former WWF star Brian Blair commented on his arrest for child abuse charges as he was released from a Tampa jail this afternoon.
"It's a real, I guess, unfortunate situation, that it's a misunderstanding that could have been prevented," Blair told reporters according to a Tampa Tribune article. "I have over 7,000 hours mentoring children, and the last thing that I'd ever do is hurt a kid. Sometimes the hardest kids to mentor are your own."
Blair will have to enter a plea in regard to the charges sometime in the next 30 days.
The Tribune article also noted that Blair "may have been drinking" according to a police report of the incident.
