Strange Alliance Helps Kenny King Stay Ahead of Former Teammates
Kenny King was supposed to team with Jason Blade, the man he held the FIP Tag Titles with, but Blade was not able to participate due to his contract status. King was willing to wrestle Sal Rinauro and Chasyn Rance in a handicap match just like he did last time he faced them in the ring, but King got a tag team partner from an unexpected source. With his tag team partner, Jon Davis, out of action due to an injury, Kory Chavis of the Dark City Fight Club offered his services to King because Chavis was in the mood to beat up some people and the YRR were people on his list. King and Chavis were able to work together to defeat Rance and Rinauro.
Are new FIP Tag Team Champions on the horizon?
Despite some tension that still exists between the British Lions of Tommy Taylor and Chris Gray after they joined Heartbreak Enterprises at the last FIP show. While Gray was happy to join the group, Taylor was not happy with the decision to turn their backs to their fans. In the main event six man tag match that saw the British Lions team with Florida Heritage Champion Rhett Titus against Chris Jones and the FIP Tag Team Champions Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong, Tommy Taylor was able to get the victory for his team by pinning Roderick Strong. Even though the Lions fell short last month when they had a tag title match, they appear to be the current number one contenders. Will the titles have an international flavor in the near future or will the loss make Stevens and Strong more determined to keep the titles?
