During his first run, Christian was always considered a strong worker and a good soldier for the company. He only left when he wanted to take a break from the grind, especially after realizing that he wasn't going to be slotted into an upper-tier position. He never buried the company when he wasn't working there and he's still a good performer today. Bringing someone with his level of in-ring ability back only provides another asset for the company and putting him in ECW allowed him to be a focal point of one of the brands as opposed, so in hindsight, it was a good idea.
Why did the WWE decide to go for the Hart Foundation redo, instead of the British Bulldogs? Davey Boy was never in the Heart Foundation (other than when it became a faction with Pillman and Owen) was he? Don't Hart-Smith and Kidd remind you more of the Bulldogs then the Hearts with Heart-Smith's power and Kidd's flying?
From a financial standpoint, there's more money in playing off the Hart Foundation than The British Bulldogs, who last teamed in WWF in 1989. Plus, Harry Smith and Nattie Neidhart both have the Hart heritage, while only Smith has Bulldog heritage, so they can use it for two of the three.
Has Macho Man given any kind of word on the DVD set put out about him? Has anyone heard how he feels about it, and has it improved or hurt the (already strained) relationship between him and the WWE?
Savage has yet to comment publicly on the DVD, although my guess is he could
care less about it - unless of course, he's not getting a check from the
release. That might make him a little grumpy.
I recently
caught a TNA show and something struck me. Isn't TNA getting
dangerously close to repeating the mistakes of WCW with all these
ex-WWE guys? The first 45 minutes of the show was all ex-WWE guys (and
old ones at that). Isn't that one of the big downfalls of the WCW?
Didn't they start going down when they kept bringing in over-the-hill
guys from WWE rather then bring up their young homegrown talent? I
mean AJ Styles and Chris Daniels were amazing, but seem to be pushed
down for WWE talent to get the top spot. Why? They could be huge
players in restarting the wrestling business.
The TNA mentality is that the younger members of the roster need more time and exposure on television before they are accepted as stars by the mainstream, average wrestling fan viewers on television. I disagree but TNA has slowly grown over the years, so how does one argue otherwise when their history has shown a slow growth?
Seeing how The Undertaker is getting older. Would there ever be a chance of him going up against John Cena ? I understand they are both good guys and the fans love them both. They might have faced each other in the past, I just don't remember. But if WWE does not go down that road, what about Taker vs Jericho ? Your thoughts.
I think you'll likely see both matches down the
line.
