EDGE AND CHRISTIAN OFF THE WEEKEND SHOWS, KANE ON TAKER AND KHALI, UMAGA STILL IN WWE PROMOS, GREAT DEALS ON WWE MERCHANDISE AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2009-06-11 15:16:08

Edge and Christian off of the house shows this weekend.  I am under the impression that it's just to give them a weekend off.  Jeff Hardy is on the listings however. Thanks to Terri Bey for sending that along.

From the "Ouch" department, Dion Morroy sent word that The Score in Canada is still marketing this week's Smackdown around the CM Punk-Umaga feud.  In their defense, those were cut last week before Umaga was let go.

Shaver Hansen, the son of the legendary Stan Hansen, was was a sixth round draft choice of the Seattle Mariners in the Major League Baseball draft.  Shaver is a third baseman from Baylor University.

The Indian edition of ZeeNews.com has an interview with Kane, who is on a promotional tour of India, where he talks about how important The Great Khali is to the company.  "Khali is undoubtedly a great asset to WWE. His popularity is over the roof in India and he is an idol for kids. I think the people of India should be really proud of him," Kane said.  He's right and that is why Khali has a spot in the company as India is an important market for WWE.  He also put over The Undertaker by saying, "As far as my relationship with The Undertaker is concerned he had a great impact on my career. Without him I certainly would not have been where I am today."  You can read the whole piece by clicking here.

Speaking of Kane, here is a link to an interview that he did with The Times Of India.

I had this in my ECW Rhetorical Questions yesterday but for those who missed it, I figured I would include it again here.  Since WWE likes mastur-graphics so much how about this one: Did you know that you can order the new Randy Savage DVD from our PWInsider.com Superstore and pay $5.50 LESS than if you bought it from WWE.com?

Seriously, how can we have the DVD for sale that much cheaper than the company itself?  Boy, WWE really does get every penny that they can from their most loyal fans.

Mike Peskin set up a cool application for Blackberry users.  For those interested, click on this link from your Blackberry.  Go to PWInsider link in list, click on it, it will ask if you want to download it, click yes.  When it's done it will be on your main Blackberry screen.

WWE's WrestleMania DVD placed number one again on the Billboard Recreational Sports DVD listing this week.  I want to take a second to thank all of you who purchased the DVD through our Amazon.com PWInsider.com Superstore.  As we have mentioned before, our store has all of the latest wrestling DVDs and books, plus you can also buy pretty much anything that Amazon.com sells, at the same great low prices, and support the website in the process.  For those interested, you can buy items from our store by clicking here.
