I just don't get it. If Batista was so enraged at Orton on Raw...and he ran down to the cage to save Flair...why would it never occur to him to just climb the cage and jump in????
I couldn't agree with you more. It's one of the things that WWE does all the time that drives me nuts. It seems as if no one in creative understands logic. Hell, maybe some of the wrestlers don't either. If I were Dave Batista and they told me the way that was going to go I would have said, "Why wouldn't I climb the cage to get in and save Flair?" I would also say, "Why don't you have Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes in the ring so every time I try and climb up the cage, they kick my hands and I have to let go?" That is what frustrates me about Raw creative. They just don't care about having things make sense. It would have taken a minute to come up with that scenario. It is frustrating to be a fan sometimes.
In your opinion has WWE pretty much given up on developing and marinating a tag team division? It seems like every time a team gets over, for example Miz and Morrison, they break them up. Now all they have are the Colons.
They gave up on the tag division long, long ago. Management feels that it's more important to create singles stars since they are more marketable and generate greater revenue than tag teams. I understand their stance, to a point. But not everyone can be a singles wrestlers. There are lot of guys on that roster that would benefit from being part of a tag team and could contribute a lot to the shows. Some could also get over well with a manager. But, WWE has decided that tag teams and managers don't really have a place any more in their business. It's a real shame.
In the UK a WWE PPV is just under 15GBP (which is about $25 in the US). That rate also applies to Wrestlemania and we get 4 free WWE PPVs a year on Sky Sports, along with free TNA pay per views. What I want to know is how can WWE do this for one country but in the US PPV's are $40, and more for 'Mania? I ask this question as I plan to move to the US.
Bring your checkbook across the pond with you because our PPV costs will not be going away any time soon. The difference in the UK is that you guys have had Sky Sports subsidize the shows for years. We don't have any entity over here that does that. If WWE could strike a deal with someone like HBO for the right price to air their PPVs they would, but that hasn't come close to happening. I can see costs rising in the UK over time as well. WWE had to make the shows cheaper since they used to be free. But given their track record here in the US, rate hikes are probably just around the corner over there.
It used to sound just stupid, but now it has become really annoying. What is the deal with the way Lillian pronounces some of the wrestler's names? I guess she does that for effect, but the effect on me is nothing less than totally annoying.
I have no idea what you are talking about so it has to be one of those "it's just you" issues.
How much “pull” does Triple H have with creative and the storylines they come up with? It seems to me, with him and HBK both out of action at the present time, that the storylines are deliberately bad so that fans (and internet smarks) will say, “Gee, we really need HHH and HBK to come back.” These last two months would have been a perfect time to develop some compelling storylines around new talent. Instead, it’s as if they’ve said, “We can’t let anyone get over more than these two or John Cena.” Is that a rule that creative follows?
That is pure conspiracy theory stuff. The bottom line is HBK, Undertaker, HHH and some others have more pull than other wrestlers because of their tenure and status, but they can't go around sabotaging the product. HBK is taking time off and isn't even around right now. Plus, Vince McMahon has the final say and at the end of the day, it all runs through him. So, if things suck, put the blame where it belongs, on Vince's shoulders.
