I know that you and or Mike have said before that you don’t have answers regarding if you get 3 strikes and you’re out how long (if at all) you had to wait to go back to WWE and sign a new contract. Say you’ve got 2 strikes and your contract expires and even thought WWE is trying desperately to sign you to a new deal, you don’t but come back 3-6 months later and sign a new contract – foes this reset your strike count back to zero for the Wellness policy? In theory I say yes, because (if I remember correctly) when you sign the contract (or for those who have long term contracts where the Wellness Policy was an addendum to their current contract) the Wellness Policy that’s they signed is only good for that current contract and each renewal or new contract (whether embedded in the Independent Contractor contract or separate form) is for a new term. But in practice this wouldn’t be a good thing as you’d see guys with 2 strikes not renew and then come back and start at zero again.
Actually, Buck and I discussed this very issue on audio last week. In theory, I could definitely see WWE doing that if, for example, Jeff Hardy lets his contract expire and then were to come back next year. They could assert that Hardy's past test failures were wiped clean when his deal expired if they wanted to. I don't believe that there is wording for this in the Wellness Policy so I can't say for sure either way.
Why don’t they give Dolph Ziggler a moniker like ‘Mr Marvelous’ (akin to Paul Orndorff and Curt Hennig) and let him run with it? I have a bet riding on him becoming World Champion by Wrestlemania 30 and I think that gimmick could do it.
I don't. Think that gimmick worked better years ago than it would today. It would seem like a retread to me today. Plus, we hear Randy Orton brag on Raw every week and that isn't exactly setting the business on fire. Then again, WWE is marketing to kids so anything is possible. Don't worry, you have a lot of time before that bet comes due.
I love the site – anyone who does not subscribe is missing something great. My only criticism is the elite audio. I never have time to listen to the programs. Any reason there is not a written summary of the highlights available for elite subscribers? A brief paragraph of the highlights for those of us that cannot listen to 15 – 60 minutes of audio would be great. Thanks.
Where news hotlines are concerned, we have not done that in the past because it makes it easier for unethical lowlifes to steal our exclusive news items and post it on their sites, thus making themselves money on our work while they cost us needed revenue. Of late, we have started to make text postings of exclusive news bits a day or two after they are reported. As for the audio shows, recapping them is just too hard to do. They are really a product that is meant to be listened to.
What is the reason Stone Cold hates Triple H in real life?
Hate is a strong word. I don't know if Austin hates Triple H but I have heard from many people that he didn't see eye-to-eye with him when the men worked together. From what everyone told me, it came down to the fact that they are two very different kinds of people. Austin is seen as being like Bret Hart and The Rock, a guy who goes straight ahead with people and doesn't play games. He tells you want he thinks, to your face. HHH is seen as being someone who knows how to play the system, or the game if you will pardon the pun. Those differences have kept the two from getting along well backstage.
Was the only reason Jerry Lawler left the WWE was because of his wife at the time, Molly Holly, or was there other reasons behind it?
Lawler was never married to Molly Holly! He left WWE because the company fired his wife Stacy "The Kat" Carter. It was an act of support for her. That was the only reason he left and as it turned out she left Lawler so he should have never stood up for her in the first place!
