Dwayne Johnson has already nabbed another lead role in a Disney film as Production Weekly has him attached to star as Captain Nemo in a planned remake of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The film is slated to film later this year in Australia.
The plot for the film will follow, "a fugitive whaler who teams up with a naturalist, a mysterious woman and a captain of a futuristic submarine to search for a lost underwater civilization that holds libraries of vast knowledge and a weapon with the power to destroy mankind."
Johnson previously starred in The Game Plan and Race To Witch Mountain for the studio and has become one of the company's favorite performers, winning over studio executives by how hard he worked to promote The Game Plan.
