PWINSIDER Q & A: TAKER PROTECTING HIS CHARACTER, TAKER-VINCE, TAKER-MICHAELS, NO SWAGGER AT MANIA AND MORE

I'm just curious. In the lead-in to Raw and some other WWE shows, they have a short view of Bruno. With all the acrimony between the two, why, and how, does WWE do it?

They own the footage and Vince McMahon respects Bruno's contributions to his company, even if Bruno doesn't want to associate with WWE, so it has a spot in the open.  I guess some wonder if Vince includes the footage just to tweak Bruno, but I don't know about that one way or another.

It well known that Undertaker takes great pride in protecting his character but I remember some skits during the Dallas Page stalker angle of “home movies “ where Sara clearly refers to him as Mark more than once. If he is so intent on staying in character (not appearing at HoF etc. ) why would he agree to the silly skits?

He was asked.  Sometimes you take one for the team.  Those skits bombed and actually gave him ammunition for never doing that kind of stuff again.

I just heard your mailbag and your opinions on Sex, Lies and Headlocks and wanted to hear what your opinions were on The Death of WCW by R.D. Reynolds and Bryan Alvarez, that's if you've read it.

I never read it so I can't comment on it.  From what I have heard it was a mocking look at all of the stupid things that WCW did over the years.  That would certainly be a huge body of work for them to play pick from.

So…..how great was Undertaker vs. Michaels? I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a match more than that one. In your opinion, better than Savage vs Steamboat at WM 3? (my pick for greatest match ever before UT/HBK gave us that gift).

It was a great, great match, for sure.  I loved Savage vs. Steamboat too.  Let's just say that they were both great and leave it at that.

What's up with Jack Swagger not being on the WM25 card? He, Miz and Morrison not being on the card is a travesty. How do they justify that in a 4 hour show?

I couldn't agree with you more.  All three deserved to be on the show.  The word we received was that they kept Swagger off because creative didn't think he was ready for a Mania shot yet.  I think it's silly, but they didn't ask me for my opinion.  To me, all of your champions should be on your biggest show of the year.
