The city of Vero Beach, Florida (on the east coast of the state) has passed an ordinance that would ban wrestling, boxing, and kick boxing in venues that sell alcohol. This ordinance also upholds the current ordinance that bans alcohol sales after 1:00 am (with the exception of New Year's Day). Included among the banned type of wrestling events at venues selling alcohol in the town are jello, oil, and mud wrestling.

There is an exemption for buildings with a fixed seating capacity of 1,000 seats.
