Evan Bourne should be cleared to return to the ring anytime now. He was scheduled last week to be seen by a WWE doctor for clearance.
Another recent cutback by World Wrestling Entertainment is that wrestlers are no longer allowed to get draws from producers on the road. It's been a longstanding tradition dating back as long as I can remember that wrestlers on the road can get a "draw" of advance cash to help their expenses on the road, which would then later be deducted from their paychecks. WWE did away with the practice around the same time they let several producers like Tim White, who had been handling that responsibility, go.
For those of you in the Chicago area, WGN Channel 9 will air WWE Superstars on Sundays at 11 AM. There's no additional word yet on what WWE will do for markets, like New York City, that do not carry WGN on most of their cable systems.
WWE issued an announcement that Smackdown again broke MyNetworkTV's ratings this past Friday, garnering a 2.3 rating, having been watched in 2,660,000 households.
