The Stamford Advocate has an article online looking at Linda McMahon being nominated to the Board Of Education in Connecticut. It points out McMahon was elected to Sacred Heart University's board of trustees in 2004, and is credited with WWE's various educational efforts, including their literacy programs. It notes her confirmation hearing is February 5th. The main thrust of the article is the reservations some have about McMahon due to WWE's product, but it also points out her achievements. You can check it out by clicking here.
A less balanced article (I know, shocking) is a rant by Phil Mushnick in the New York Post about the situation. Click here for that article.
The New York Post also has a review of "The Wrestler" which you can check out by clicking here. Thanks to Jeff Sheridan for sending along those links.
Thanks to David for the following:
I read on the site about Johnny Saint coming to the U.S. for the first time (for
Chikara's Trios Tournament).
