What is the deal with HBK? Every time I see him, he is made to look weaker and weaker. That whole scene with JBL offering a job, and HBK walking out..that was sad. But when JBL came and took his Slammy and he didn't do a thing about it, that was just pitiful! What could possibly be the reason for creative making him look so powerless and weak? How will they get him out of this, and why did he agree to do it?
I think WWE should get some credit for trying something different with Shawn Michaels. It is early in the storyline, so we can't be sure where it is going, but if it allows for someone to get elevated by being Michaels' opponent, I'm good with it.
Why did they take the IC title of Ricky Steamboat so fast? I would have though he would have made an interesting #1 contender for the World Title at least for a while..
Steamboat wanted to work less dates due to his wife giving birth, so WWE took the belt off of him.
Why does/did WCW and WWE do quick title changes that were never aired on TV? Examples being Razor Ramon and Jeff Jarrett trading the IC title at least 1 or 2 times in ladder matches that weren't shown on TV and Sting beating Vader for the World Title in England than losing the title back before the tour ended.
Usually the reason was pretty simple. Either the company wanted to do a title change on the house shows to "reward" the fans who attended the live events, or in some cases they wanted to see how the crowd would react to a new champion before doing it nationally.
Why didn't Barry Windham get a run with the World Title in the WWE or WCW (No I don't count the NWA title run as a world title run)?
Windham was actually closer to those championships than most realize. During his "Widowmaker" run in the WWF, he was expected to wrestle for the World Title, but he ended up leaving the company after his family ran into legal troubles. Not sure if he would have won it, but he would have been in the mix. For WCW, he absolutely was going to win the title from Ric Flair in 1991 at one point, but when Flair left the company, it resulted in WCW deciding to put the title on Lex Luger instead.
What is your "DAMN" moment for 2008?
The New York Giants losing to the Cleveland Browns. If you meant a wrestling moment, I would go with Great Khali becoming a babyface by taking over the Kiss Cam.
