World Wrestling Entertainment announced the release of Gene Snitsky today. Snitsky, a former trainee of Afa the Wild Samoan's school in Pennsylvania, was best known for his "It's Not My Fault" run causing the "miscarriage" of Kane and Lita's unborn child.
Snitsky later received a makeover complete with shaved head and greenish teeth after being sent to the ECW brand. After returning to Monday Night Raw, he never received a sustained push in recent months.
Most recently, Snitsky been used in the opening round of the Intercontinental championship contender's tournament, losing to CM Punk.
He was signed to a WWE developmental deal in October 2003 and debuted for the Raw brand in March 2004.
