Back in WCWs last years, whenever Hugh Morrus would jump off the top rope for his finishing maneuver announcer Mark Madden used to yell "Fly, fat ass fly!" Did Madden ever have heat with him for that, or was it something that Morrus went along with as part of the business? I could picture him being pretty upset that Madden was continually using his big move to yell out a stupid comment.

Madden had a lot of those little inside digs that he got in during his time in the announce booth.  Sometimes it was for a guy he liked, say Disco Inferno, while other times it was for a guy he didn't.  I honestly don't remember if he was friendly with Morrus or not.  I don't remember hearing anything about Morrus having heat with him over it but that kind of "going into business for himself at the expense of the show" is what made Madden, who started out as a very good announcer, horrible by the end of his run.  His ego was so out of control that he hurt the product with his self-indulgent remarks.

Now that the WWE is calling the wrestlers entertainers does that mean when someone asks me what I'm watching, do I say "Entertainment?" Couldn't that be considered false at times?

According to Vince McMahon you wouldn't be incorrect if you answered the first question that way but my hunch is that he would think you were wrong if you answered the second one in that manner.

I just read about the WWF/E's decision to call their wrestlers "Entertainers" instead of wresters and/or superstars. I read the reasons why they are doing this but as a pro wrestling fan since 1980, this is bad. This is the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment!! If they follow through with this, They certainly can't associate themselves with the word WRESTLING anymore!!! If TNA is looking for an opportunity to catch Vince, I believe this is the time!! I believe the VINCE McMAHON ENTERTAINMENT What else can I call it?? It's not the WWF/E anymore) is falling fast. What do you think of this rather sad situation?

While I think it's stupid and somewhat of an exercise in hatred of self for Vince to distance himself so ridiculously from the term wrestling, at the end of the day I don't think the vast majority fans really care about it one way or the other.  Unfortunately, a lot of old time fans, like yourself, have already been run off by the product that the business has produced the last few years.  Many of the fans that the business has now are younger and they don't care about the past of the industry the way that you and I do.

I admit I read more about wrestling on your site than I actually watch these days. That said, I was wondering why Hornswoggle has those marks on his face. Was that ever explained in the past? I just find them distracting to the point where I can't get into the character at all.

I don't remember it ever being explained (and that doesn't mean it hasn't been) but I have always taken it to be something he has because he spends so much time under the dirty ring.  It's typical WWE overkill.  I agree with you, it's stupid.  Also, I hate the way they book an adult as a child who is unable to speak, but that is another rant for another day.

As of this date, exactly how many questions have you guys received regarding a) Dwayne Johnson's "return" to wrestling and b) Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan fighting at Wrestlemania? Also, how much longer do you think before the lunacy ends?
