PWINSIDER Q&A: VINCE VS. THE STEELERS, CHRISTIAN, THE ROCK AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-11-13 10:00:00

Hi there, love the site, proud elite member, highly recommend it to everyone on the fence out there. Here is my question. Both of the recent DX reunions have taken place on the Monday nights when the Pittsburgh Steelers have been playing the Monday night game. Is it safe to say that Vince is still holding a grudge against Pittsburgh (or specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers) for the Armageddon last December when the crowd was dead due to the Steelers huge loss earlier that day?

That's a pretty interesting theory, but I don't think Vince is holding a grudge against the Steelers.  Then again, football is probably a sore subject for Vince....

Hi, my question for the website is that do you ever see WWE or TNA pushing a female as their top heel?

Nope.  The closest WWE has gotten to that is when Stephanie McMahon was leading Chris Jericho as World Champion.

Word has it that Christian's TNA contract is up this month, it may have already expired for that matter..... so my question is, what is his official status going into the PPV this Sunday night? And if he has not signed on for a new deal, is there any indication that he is leaning to a WWE return?

Christian is still under a TNA contract for the next month.  Reportedly, he is leaning towards a return to WWE, but TNA has a few weeks to make Cage an offer that would keep him with the company.

Does the WWE still have hope for The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) to someday make a surprise return or do you see them eventually resigned to the reality that The Rock era in WWF/WWE is over. History? Are they at that stage now?

WWE has definitely moved on and realize Rock isn't coming back.  That's not to say they wouldn't open the doors wide for him if he wanted to come back, but they know the chances of that are getting slimmer every year.

It seems like with Mick Foley's new role of "major shareholder" with TNA he is becoming more of an on air commissioner such as making matches for their upcoming pay per view. I also have noticed that Jim Cornette sightings on Impact broadcasts are less frequent. Is Jim Cornette on the verge of leaving TNA?

I haven't heard anything about Jim Cornette leaving the company, but with Mick Foley and Jeff Jarrett assuming on-screen roles of authority, it definitely seems like Cornette is in need of a new role in the company.
