PWINSIDER Q&A: ELITE XC FIGHTERS GOING TO WWE, YOKOZUNA, LASHLEY AND KRISTAL AND MORE

I remember reading a few years ago that Rodney "Yokozuna" Anoa'i  wrestled for Jersey All Pro Wrestling shortly before his death. Was it risky for the company to take him on at the time considering how much he weighed?

No, because it was just an indy shot.  It's not like he was under contract and JAPW was responsible for his quality of life by employing him.  He took their payday, worked the shot and was onto the next.

I just finished listening to the audio show that you and Buck did.  I had a great laugh when the two of you started to discuss the Warrior shoot interview on how crazy the man was.  I don't know if there's an audio out there somewhere but if not I would love to hear you do an audio show of the whole shoot interview experience, or even better have you and Buck do a show about it.

The shoot interview I conducted with the Ultimate Warrior is owned by RingsideCollectibles.com, so unless they granted us the rights to rebroadcast it, I couldn't put it up in the Elite section of the site. 

There was all this talk about Bobby Lashley coming to TNA - whatever happened with that?

Lashley is focusing on his MMA career, but has taken some independent dates as a professional wrestler.  My belief is that if the MMA route doesn't work out, he'll look towards TNA, but he wants to compete professionally as a fighter right now, as opposed to a performer.

Also, is it true Lashley was with Kristal Marshall?

Lashley is still involved with Marshall personally and they've just celebrated the birth of their first child.

I saw that EliteXC shut down - is there any chance of WWE or TNA trying to hire Gina Carano or Kimbo Slice?

I suppose there is always a chance that one or both would flirt with the idea of professional wrestling, but right now, they are professional MMA fighters and I don't see them throwing away everything they've tried to build professionally to jump into pro wrestling, a world that is brand new to them, unless they are unable to continue to make the type of living they are accustomed to.
