PWINSIDER Q&A: CHRISTIAN, UNDERTAKER VS. AUSTIN, CYBER SUNDAY AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-10-18 10:00:00

I am not sure what Christian is thinking about, whether to leave TNA and go back to WWE or just stay with TNA, but has WWE shown any interest in taking him back? Would he be a main eventer with Edge ? Your thoughts.

I don't know if WWE has shown any interest in Christian, and certainly they couldn't publicly make an advance on him while he is under contract to TNA, but I would have to think they realize the multiple storylines they could use Christian in.  Both as a partner or opponent to Edge, with or against former partner Chris Jericho, there's a lot they can do.  However, I'm sure Christian's decision would be one where he takes the best financial and schedule offer.

I know this is unlikely to happen but how would you guys feel about a Taker vs. Austin match at Mania next year seen as its in Texas? I think Taker is one of very few people that Austin would consider having a final match against.

I don't see it happening.  Steve Austin isn't going to come back to lose a Wrestlemania match in his home state, and I don't see Undertaker's Wrestlemania win streak ending against a wrestler who is pretty much retired.  That said, if Austin was in shape and motivated, it would be a great bout.

With Sting the new TNA world heavyweight champion defeating Samoa Joe at Bound for Glory (w/the help of Kevin Nash), will this lead to Sting taking part in matches, perhaps defending the title, on Impact!?

I don't know about a title match on Impact, but Sting will be wrestling in a tag match on Impact next week, teaming with Kevin Nash against Samoa Joe & AJ Styles.

With WWE's Cyber Sunday coming up this weekend what would happen if the impossible were to happen? Suppose enough calls come in for Randy Orton. If he is unable to wrestle, what happens? Is he replaced? What if Goldust gets more calls than Austin, Roddy Piper or Honkytonk Man? I know highly unlikely. Could someone initiate enough calls to throw a monkey wrench into the whole show? Are Stone Cold Steve Austin, Roddy Piper, Honkytonk Man and Goldust expected to be there just in case?

Well, in the case of Randy Orton, he is almost ready to return anyway, and besides, he doesn't have to wrestle at Cyber Sunday, just referee.  Also, in the past WWE has always had all the wrestlers at the show that are mentioned in voting options, so expect Piper, Austin, Honky Tonk and Goldust to be there.

Jim Ross recently said that Lance Cade was let go for making a major league mistake and using bad judgment, this included having a seizure on an airplane. How the hell is having a seizure using bad judgment or making a major league mistake?!?!?!

The seizure is not bad judgment or a major league mistake, and I don't believe Ross said it was.  It's what surrounded the seizure that caused the firing.
