WWE has re-released some older DVD titles packaged inside tins at Transworld Stores such as FYE. The tins look pretty cool, although the idea of an ECW collection featuring the December to Dismember...well, that's just wrong.
In case you missed it yesterday, Terry Funk and Eric Bischoff have been added to the 11/1 Ringsidefest event in New York City, joining Road Warrior Animal and Ric Flair. Flair will be doing a Q&A as part of the event. For more information, visit www.ringsidefest.com. If you hear horror stories about some of the unorganized gatherings that happen, you won't need to worry about that here.
Alice Cooper was on the Canadian interview show The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos on CBC this week, and at one point, George asked Alice about Wrestlemania III. Here was Alice's response: “That was one of the most terrifying things in the world … you talk about the Manson murders being terrifying, how ‘bout 90,000 people … wrestling fans … 60,000 of them blue-haired old ladies screaming for blood, and I’m going ‘I hope this isn’t my audience. My audience isn’t as crazy as this.’ That was the craziest audience in the world. They really were. And I kept thinking, ‘They don’t really believe this do they? They don’t really believe this is real, do they?’ And I think they did.â€
There's something sort of cool about Alice Cooper, who has made his living bringing that dark character to life for his audiences all these years, wondering whether fans are buying too hard into the work.
