PWINSIDER Q&A: SENIOR REFEREES, WRESTLEMANIA 3, HULK HOGAN'S CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-10-09 10:00:00

Does WWE or TNA use Senior Referees anymore? The concept was used effectively in the old days.

I believe TNA has occasionally referred to Andrew Thomas or Earl Hebner as being a "senior official" over the last few years, but it isn't something they go out of their way to emphasize.  WWE has pretty much ditched the concept entirely.

I hate feeling like I'm out of the loop and I feel like I missed something over the years... it seems as though some of the PWI staff mildly dislikes Ashley Massaro. Is there any specific reason for loathing her more than the other talentless women we see in wrestling?

Just that she was pretty annoying too.

Hey, any chance of getting a WM3 DVD or a tape ?

Sure, you can get it from our good friends at Highspots.com by clicking here,

What is the expectation of Hulk Hogan's Championship Wrestling? To portray itself as a intense, no holds barred training show resulting in legitimate wrestling bouts? If it becomes a success, will this lead to more celebrities signing on? Is the hope for the show not to be compared to Celebrity Boxing?

Honestly, I think the hope is just to bring in a strong enough rating to convince CMT to bring it back for a second season, and then possibly use it as a springboard for live events of some sort.  Obviously, if it is a success, it will be easier to get a higher grade of celebrity for the show.  I don't think they are even thinking about comparisons to Celebrity Boxing.

Someone recently speculated that TNA's Raisha Saeed was not currently being portrayed by SHIMMER superstar Cheerleader Melissa. That it was someone else in disguise. Would you know anything about that? I noticed that you can no longer see her eyes. That they are covered up by a mask of painted on eyes. Any ideas?

As far as I know, it is always Cheerleader Melissa, except when they are doing angles that someone else is "in disguise".
