The future for former World Champion CM Punk has been quite the topic of discussion amongst WWE fans lately. As reported last night, WWE.com has posted a video of CM Punk declaring his intentions to find a partner (Kofi Kingston seems the logical choice) to pursue the World Tag Team Championship held by Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. The storyline is that Punk is looking for revenge against the men responsible for costing him the World Title, and since Randy Orton is unable to wrestle, he is going after the tag champs. Some see this as WWE inserting a top star in the tag division to give it a "boost" in the eyes of fans. Others see it as Punk being "demoted" out of the top mix on Raw. This leads to today's poll question:
What do you think of CM Punk pursuing the World Tag Team Championship?
- I think it is a demotion for Punk, going from the main events to the
meaningless tag belts.
- I think it is not a demotion for Punk, but rather WWE trying to make the tag
belts more important.
- I think it is both.
- I think it is just WWE finding something for Punk to do while waiting for the
Randy Orton feud to begin.
