I was checking out the Smackdown Spoilers and among the matches listed was a womens match featuring Brie Bella vs. Victoria. It stated that Brie Bella was making her debut. She defeated Victoria with a roll up. I checked WWE's website under divas. There was no mention of a Brie Bella anywhere. Who is Brie Bella?
Brie Bella is a new competitor that WWE has just brought up to the main roster. Think of it as ECW's "new talent initiative" spreading to Smackdown. Bella also has an interesting relative, which I will not mention yet, for spoiler reasons.
With all the talk of The Undertaker eventually retiring, is it true? Has The Undertaker (Mark Calloway) indicated in any way that he intends to retire by years end or sometime in 2009?
I have heard no serious talk of Undertaker retiring. With his ability to dictate his schedule and take breaks whenever he feels the need to, I see no reason why Undertaker won't stay active for a few more years.
I will never understand why TNA would let Gail Kim go just like that without a fight. Weren't they aware of her contract ending? If so, why the hesitation? They should have talked to her weeks or months prior. She was a very prominent and popular figure within the Knockouts division. They let her go just like that? Didn't want to stand in her way or just stupidity?
TNA accepted reality. To try and match WWE's dollar offer just didn't make sense financially. It was smart business to concentrate on other Knockouts than pay more to keep Gail Kim. The fact that Kim's last TNA appearance saw her getting destroyed by Awesome Kong was the last thing they could have hoped to get out of Kim before her departure.
If you had a son or daughter and they wanted to be a pro wrestler would you support them or try your best to talk them out of it?
I would never stand in the way of my child pursuing their dream. However, I would want them to get a college education first. A small percentage of wrestlers ever make a living in this industry, and if they weren't successful, they could still move on with their life and have a shot at another career.
I am concerned with Smackdown's scramble match at the next PPV. With Raw and ECW's matches, I tink they got the right opponents, but on Smackdown, it's a whole other story. The only challenger that I see as having a chance to win is MVP. Hardy has yet to redeem himself in the eyes of WWE management, Shelton Benjamin has just emerged out of obscurity (and is the US champ), and Kendrick?! Why is he in the match when he hasn't been on a PPV for who knows how long!? Why were the Big Show and Khali left out? Not that I would expect Khali to win, but they are both former champs and Big Show would be a seen as a possibility with regards to winning the belt. Is it just me, or is SD's match seeming more like filler material than something to look forward to?
I don't necessarily agree with your assessment compared to the Raw match. Can anyone really see JBL, Kane or Rey Mysterio winning the belt at this point? I like the idea of putting someone like Kendrick in the mix, just because he is a fresh face. I agree that MVP is the front runner, but Hardy isn't totally out of the mix at this point. As for Big Show, well, WWE created a storyline around him NOT being included, so at least there is a reason there.
