PWINSIDER Q&A: MICK FOLEY, RIC FLAIR, EDGE, MIKE ADAMLE AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-08-16 10:00:00

Who were the members of The Truth Commission and The Headbangers? Did they wrestle under another name?

The Headbangers were Mosh & Thrasher, and they formerly wrestled as The Spiders.  Mosh later wrestled as Beaver Cleavage and as Chaz Warrington.  The Truth Commission were The Commandant, Kurrgan (later part of the Oddities), Recon (later known as Bull Buchanan), Sniper (who worked for a while as a single performer in Memphis), Tank (aka Bruiser Mastino and Mantaur) and later the Jackyl (better known as Cyrus in ECW).

Do you think Mick Foley will jump to TNA? Do you think Ric Flair will jump to TNA? Do you think if either or both do jump to TNA that their ratings will finally go up?

Foley, maybe.  Flair, I doubt it.  I honestly don't know if Foley would make an impact (no pun intended) on the ratings, but Flair would, if TNA properly promoted it.  As we've seen with other performers though, having a "name" doesn't matter as much as what the company does with it.

Lately, I haven't seen Kip James/Billy Gunn on TNA. Is he still wrestling for TNA and if not, is there a chance he would go back to the WWF/E as Billy Gunn? In my own opinion, he has had much better success as Billy Gunn in the WWF/E than as Kip James in TNA. Your thoughts?

James is still with TNA, and I doubt WWE would want him back.  I would say he had more success in WWE, but as time as gone on, James' act has grown old.

I noticed a few comments from this site and other places saying that Edge is the biggest star in wrestling. Not that I personally agree but I can see an argument for it. However, now that a certain Undertaker is returning, surely that argument is out of the window? Best doesn't mean biggest.

"Biggest" and "best" are all debatable terms. Is Undertaker the biggest star in wrestling?  You could argue that.  You could also argue that Triple H is bigger.  I would argue that Edge is the best.

What do you think would happen to Mike Adamle if the Raw general manager thing doesn't work out for him? After listening to him on ECW for the past couple weeks, I don't really think he will do well as general manager, and with all the spots on the announce tables filled, the only things left to do with him are make him a backstage interviewer or release him. Your thoughts?

I think WWE will continue to find things for Adamle to do until either he walks away from his contract, or it expires. As long as they are paying him, they will find something for him to do.
