As PWInsider.com approaches it's fifth anniversary this
January (Wow, it's been that long?), we are happy to announce the birth of the
latest in our family of websites,
www.PWIPOP.com, your Gateway into the world of Pop Culture.
POP was created for a number of reasons. Like all of you, each of us working
here on PWInsider.com have interests outside of the world of professional
wrestling and when audio discussion in the Elite section of the site would head
off-topic into those interests, it always received a positive response from our
Elite subscribers.
With that in mind, POP gives us a chance to write about and discuss those topics
in greater detail and have some fun with the different things that we love
outside of this wonderful sport, without infringing on our coverage of
professional wrestling.
Recognizing that it would be impossible to cover the far-reaching world of pop culture, with its many genres, we've set up The Gateway, which will provide PWIPOP readers with the most recent headlines from across the web on a number of topics, including Sports, Movies/TV, DVDs, Mixed Martial Arts, Comic Books/Animation, Video Games, Travel, Theater, Technology, Gossip and News of the Weird (which will be self explanatory the second you see the headlines).
We've spent a lot of time researching reputable sites to carry on POP and they will likely be joined by others over time based on your requests and interest. Beyond the headlines listed on POP's front page, the menu atop the site will take you to the most recent 200 headlines for each topic. So, PWIPOP.com is designed to be your one stop Gateway for tracking down the news and articles you want, in a quick, efficient manner.
As noted above, we will be providing original articles for PWIPOP.com where we and a number of wonderful writers who have joined us will be writing all about the pop culture universe. We invite you to sample the articles that have already been posted in the last week during our "soft launch" period and keep checking back regularly for more.
For those of you interested in contributing to PWIPOP.com, we are more than interested in adding new writers to the site. Feel free to contact us with sample articles at DSchererPWI@aol.com. Please title those emails POP INTEREST.
Finally, for those of you who may be worried about the quality of work here on PWInsider.com, PWInsiderXTRA.com or the PWInsiderElite.com section slipping due to the new site, there is no need to be concerned. We promise you absolutely nothing will change on the websites you've been supporting over the last several years and nothing ever will, unless it's a change for the better.
We thank you for all your past and future support and invite you to open your Gateway to the Pop Culture world at our newest home, www.PWIPOP.com!
