Do you think if Randy Savage were to apologize to Mr. McMahon--Savage would lose the persona non-grata position he is now in? Superstar Graham was forgiven. Even Hogan.
That question is impossible to answer because no one, other than McMahon and Savage and maybe a few people close to them, seem to know what the source of their rift is. Without knowing what caused the anger it's impossible for me to even guess what it would take to mend their fences.
Do you ever see Vince McMahon going back to the announce booth?
I don't see that happening. For one thing, he's a big-time established character. He would have to play that character on TV, which would get old quickly. Back when he was an announcer, it wasn't acknowledged he was the boss. Now, it is. The main reason I don't see it however is that he is the director and micromanages everything backstage. He could not do that from the announce booth.
I want to know the status of Hardcore Holly with the WWE. Why the poor follow up with his storyline with Cody Rhodes? Is Hardcore Holly injured, being punished for something, or just don't being used correctly?
He is definitely not on TV by design. The gist of it is that WWE is making a conscious decision not to use him right now, reportedly due to some backstage issues. That is why he never came out to confront Cody Rhodes after he was turned on. Mike Johnson will have more on this story later today.
Why weren't the NWO together for more time when they were the best thing and the ratings kings of the WCW? Why did Bischoff decide to break them in two different stables?
The nWo sure were the best thing that ever happened in WCW. They were the biggest draw in company history and made them a lot of money. The problem was, after a while, WCW creative had no idea what to do with them. The nWo were supposed to be the heels attacking WCW, but most of the fans rooted FOR them. Plus, they won almost all of the time so there weren't any interesting storylines where they could book the nWo and WCW on equal terms. This led to WCW TV pretty much becoming the nWo and breaking into a lot of different factions and that fell apart quickly. What caused this was bad booking. They had a great concept but let it spiral out of control instead of booking it with some vulnerability.
I wanted to know if there was any bad blood with, Ric Flair and Buddy Landel doing the same gimmick at the same time?
Well, to be clear Flair did it first. When Landel did it, it's fair to say that Flair was not ecstatic about it. But, Flair was a top of the card talent and Landel held secondary belts, so it wasn't like a Rock vs. HHH kind of thing.
To follow up a question from last week asking about someone wrestling under the name Cyclone:
Devin Cutting sent this: There was a Canadian wrestler called Cyclone Smith many years ago. His twin brother and tag partner was Hurricane Smith.
Philip Landes and Mark also reminded me of Cyclone Negro, who I should have remembered!
