PWINSIDER Q&A: MADUSA TOSSING THE WOMEN'S TITLE IN THE TRASH, TNA IN HD, KEN KENNEDY ON SMACKDOWN AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2008-07-22 10:00:00

Where is Jeff Hardy on the Bash PPV?  How does he go from Raw where he might have been the most universally over performers on the show, to not even being on the PPV or even having a solid angle on any show?  I thought they were giving him a chance?  They did push him after he came back didn't they?

I am writing this prior to the Bash PPV, so it's possible he'll make a cameo or be involved in a dark match but it's most likely he's just sitting out waiting for his turn creatively.  You can't feature everyone on every show.

I am amazed how over Kennedy is on Smackdown.  He was over on Raw but nowhere near how over he is on Smackdown.  What do you think has happened that has made his all around performance better?  Can you think of any other wrestler that was so specific to one show in terms of being successful?

I think it's just a mixture of how he's been used in the last few months and the fact he's a fresh face on the Smackdown brand.  I also think he's had some nagging injuries that he's finally overcome, which has assisted his in-ring performances.

On the Tip sheet for bash the comment was made that Michelle McCool is with The Undertaker, I was wondering if you meant in terms of Taker backs her and supports her as a performer or that they are an item?

Since they have made a number of appearances publicly together, yes, they are an item and have been for many months.

I've been seeing ads for Spike TV in HD, which is great since once you've upgraded to an HD tv, non HD tv looks terrible. -- Any news on if and when Spike TV will go full HD on Comcast or DirecTV -- and will this eventually include TNA ??-- I hate watching TNA off my DVR in non HD - just looks ... off.

SpikeTV is broadcasting in HD, but if you aren't receiving it, it's due to your local provider, so you should call them to request it.  TNA does not broadcast in HD and I don't expect that they will anytime soon unless Spike requires them to do so in order to keep their timeslot and/or underwrites the move.

What ever happened to the WWF/WWE womens title belt that Madusa became infamous for dropping it into a trash can on the occasion of her first appearance on TV in WCW?

I believe Madusa still has possession of the title.
