PWINSIDER Q&A: HIGHLANDERS, SID IN WWE, WHO IS MR. WRESTLEMANIA? AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-07-19 10:00:00

What's happened to the Highlanders, are they still in WWE?

The Highlanders are still on the Raw roster, but since Rory's injury and Robbie's ill advised decision to attend TNA Impact during Wrestlemania weekend, they've pretty much fallen to the bottom of the WWE ladder.

Now that HBK is getting attacked week in week out by Cade and Jericho do you see the WWE bringing back Sid Vicious as HBK's bodyguard again as HHH who would normally help him is no longer on Raw leaving HBK with nobody to help him.

I'd say that one is highly doubtful, to be honest.

What do you think? Does HBK deserve the title of Mr. Wrestlemania? Personally, I think the match against Flair seals it for him. If not Michaels, who do you think is even a contender for that title? Thanks.

The only other person I think could make a viable case for that moniker is the Undertaker, who in addition to being undefeated at Wrestlemania, also has three World Championship victories at Wrestlemania events on his resume.

It has been said that the reason for some wrestlers being released is that the company, WWE for example, doesn't have anything for them to do. I know this may sound weird but, why don't the wrestlers that are currently without a storyline, simply go out and wrestle? Period. Is it so important for every wrestler, male and female in WWE, to have a storyline so that they can be featured on Raw, Smackdown and ECW? For example: Chuck Palumbo vs. Val Venis. Two experienced wrestlers have a match against one another, even though there isn't a storyline. Your thoughts.

In WWE's view, if a wrestler doesn't have a storyline, then he (or she) doesn't have a direction and then their purpose is to just fill a spot on the show. That's why wrestlers like Val Venis will occasionally get on TV, but only to job out to the wrestlers that have a storyline purpose.  It's just the way things are done in WWE.  Only rarely will you see a match just for the sake of having a match on TV.

Someone recently asked for the location of Abdullah the Butcher's Ribs and Chinese Restaurant located in Atlanta, GA  It was said he would, on the occasion he was there, would talk with customers, answer questions, sign autographs, things like that. I was curious. If I was there eating and the Butcher himself would show up and was given the chance to talk with him, how should I address him? Sir? Mr. Butcher? Abdullah? No offense intended.

In Japan, they actually call him "Mr. Butcher", seriously.  I think your best bet here in the states is to call him "Sir".
