Is WWE totally against releasing any sort of WCW-only DVDs? It appears that the Best of Starrcade DVD that was planned for release in June has been cancelled. There's lots of material that me (and I'm sure many others) would kill to own on DVD. Does WWE believe that it's not a profitable endeavor or is this part of them continuing to bury the WCW brand? If they ARE continuing to bury that brand, WHY?
The Starrcade DVD has been postponed, but hasn't been canceled. While I do agree WWE could do a lot more to utilize their WCW material on DVD, you could say the same for the ECW, WCCW, Florida and AWA material. All of them get used on the company's WWE 24/7 Video on Demand service, but not much beyond that. I don't believe the company is intentionally burying the brand as much as they don't see long legs in the material right now. Everyone reading this knows otherwise, but those in the decision making departments of the company feel otherwise. Hopefully, one day we'll see DVD collections on the NWO, Nitro, The Cruiserweights, etc. but it's going to be some time.
I'm sure it gets brought up a lot on the site, but I've never got an answer with which I'm satisfied...what, EXACTLY is the deal with WWE and Randy Savage? I certainly don't care about him appearing on TV again but it would certainly be nice to see Macho get a nice 3-DVD treatment and appear in the videogames....what bridge, exactly, did he burn?
There are a ton of rumors as to why, but the bottom line is Randy Savage burnt Vince McMahon in such a way when he departed the company in the mid-1990s that McMahon has never forgiven him and brought him back into the fold. Some say it was because Savage blindsided McMahon in the way he left, while some rumors are more deeply personal, but whatever the reason, the bridge appears not to have been burnt, but nuked.
How's this for an idea: Vince McMahon announces The Undertaker as the new general manager of Raw. What do you think?
It's different, but I don't see it. Part of me expects that the furious Vickie Guerrero will reinstate Undertaker as a way to get at Edge over the end of their marriage.
Has either TNA or WWE ever been on shows in Las Vegas, Nevada?
WWE has run Las Vegas and there's talk of a Wrestlemania there, eventually. TNA has never run the West Coast.
I was reading an article (which I'm not sure how long ago had been written) and it said that 95% of the time, wrestlers cut their foreheads to make themselves bleed; it was also called "blading". It said that the wrestler would roll out of the ring and hide their face from the audience, and quickly cut his/her forehead with a concealed blade. I was just wondering if that is still the most common way of bleeding in the WWE.
If and when there is blood, most of the time, it's done via blading, so yes.
