I was wondering if you could tell me where the Vince McMahon getting blown up in his limousine storyline was going. I know it ended at the Benoit tragedy when Mr. McMahon "tested" his family. Where was it supposed to go?
Pretty much where the new "Who dropped the stage on Mr. McMahon" angle is going. The plan back then was to do a "whodunit" style angle with Vince trying to figure out who was out to get him and I am under the impression that is where the current angle will go now.
Hypothetical question... if Samoa Joe were around during ECW's peak, how do you think Paul Heyman would/should have booked him? Also, do you think that he could have been a major player around that time period if he had gotten lured away from ECW by the WWF or WCW.
I think Paul Heyman would have seen Joe's incredible talent, different look, amazing ability in the ring and booked him like a monster, pretty much the way he did with Tazz. In fact, I could have seen him building those two men into a huge feud with fans not sure who would win due to the fact that they were both beasts in the ring. I know Heyman would have pushed Joe huge because he was always in tune with getting the most out of everyone he worked with and with all Joe has to offer, Heyman would have had a field day with him. And yes, if WCW went after Public Enemy, Sandman, Raven and others after Heyman got them over, they certainly would have gone after Joe too.
Do you think one of the goals the WWE is working towards when it comes to the ECW brand is to one day have it support its own house shows? Or do you think that's not something they're trying to work towards.
WWE is doing the exact opposite of that. They tried running ECW-only shows in the beginning and they did horribly, so they stopped. The fact of the matter is that they don't have enough talent to run three branded shows and they realize that. ECW is, in essence, a developmental territory with a few big names and TV. I think that as long as they keep the Sci Fi deal, that is all it will ever be. If they were to get canceled by Sci Fi, they may make ECW a web-only brand but at that point they would pretty much exist in name only.
What ever happened to Marcus Cor Von? (Monty Brown). The last I heard he left the WWE due to family issues. Would TNA ever welcome him back? I always thought he was decent enough.
Once his family issues lingered for a while and he didn't return to the company, WWE finally let him go. I haven't heard a word about him in a while. I don't know if TNA would welcome him back. They were pretty good to him at the start of his career and then he jumped ship for WWE. He is nearing 40 years old and has a limited background in the business, so I don't know how much there really is to get out of him at this point or if it would be even worth TNA's investment. When they had him under contract, he was a fresh face at least. Now, with his WWE exposure, he isn't even that any more.
I have a follow up question about the Scratch Logo WWE has used since the Attitude Era, my question is if the only thing effected by the courts decision in the lawsuit was the Scratch Logo then when WWE lost why didn't they go back to a earlier logo?
It wasn't the ONLY thing that affected WWE. They also lost the right to use the WWF name so they couldn't really go back to any of their WWF logos. They had to change their name and when they did, the old logos didn't work any more. At that point, they chose to keep the scratch logo for the new company name because they had decided that the old block logo was outdated, which was why they changed it to begin with.
